Turn your graphics on and you will see that I put a strike through “woman”. She was a girl when she disappeared, so it sounds ludicrous to say that a woman has been missing for 18 years.
IMHO, I don't think it's good form to alter the original article (except for excerpting, of course). Any editorializing should be done in the comments section — rather than by editing the original article. Otherwise, even more mayhem, chaos and confusion will result.
That's just my opinion — any posting police care to weigh in?
