The Assassination of Deputy Abel Escalante
LA Weekly ^ | Oct. 14, 2009 | Christine Pelisek

Posted on 10/18/2009 8:31:32 PM PDT by AtlasStalled

The Avenues gang and Mexican Mafia may have assassinated Los Angeles County Deputy Abel Escalante as "payback for the spectacular LAPD shootout on Drew Street in June 2008 that forced the closure of local streets, caused the evacuation of two nearby public schools — and left AK-47–wielding menace Danny 'Clever' Leon bloodied and dead in the street":

Deputy Escalante had nothing to do with LAPD’s killing of Leon last year. The 27-year-old officer most likely heard about it on the news, like everyone else. But, federal prosecutors believe, Escalante died for it. Seeking revenge, the dead man’s friends months later went looking for a cop who would be an easy target at his home. Escalante was killed because he was convenient. The scenario suggests a new level of chaos in the area’s streets. As LAPD Captain Bill Murphy, of the Northeast Division, says, "It's a different breed of gangs. Not a lot are out there, shooting at and killing cops. That's when it gets way out of control."

That which we have all feared has now begun.

The disgusting corruption and grisly terrorism that is Mexico will now grip what was once the best part of America, Southern California.

May the filth that let this happen rot in Hell for what they have done.

So now that cops are getting killed, they recognize it as a problem!

These Mexican gangland bozos don’t realize this is America, where cops and prosecutors actually work for a living, where law enforcement isn’t a no show job and where mayors actually lose elections if the mayhem gets too far out of hand. This is why Mafiosos don’t kill cops in America, not because they like cops, but because they realize it will cause law enforcement to spend all their time targeting them specifically. And unlike Mexico, California has a death penalty.

My cynical side agrees with you. Maybe if these gangs bagged a few politicians, something would get done.

The hardest part about a story like this is, the insanity displayed by the killers cannot be legally retaliated against.

The argument goes; "If we just go out and start taking out gang members, we become just like them."

Here's what I'm beginning to deal with in my thought processes ...

I read a story that angers or frustrates me, acedemically my mind starts formulating thoughts ... why?. what can I do? what can be done? ... and a ton of etcetera's.

Of course I'm so many thousands of miles away, and I'm too old, and I wouldn't get anywhere near ... (another ton of etcetera's)

And 5 min., an hour, whatever goes by, my mind has been occupied with a lot of thought, some decisions/conclusionsx have been made ... but nothing has been corrected.

OK, for any of you shrinkified freepers ... is there a subliminal pressure building?

Can this be something that we can identify politically?

The left does weirder shit every day and nothing seems to be done about stopping them.

I'm still thinking about all this, but I'd like to have some feedback.

Yes I'm logged in, I've eaten all the cheese I can handle, I'm filming a series piece of my sister showering with a moose, and with my beeber on stune and my head firmly wrapped in tinfoill ....

This article pisses me off, and I'm even more pissed of I can do nothing about it.

Scott Peterson got the death penalty. Cop killers in California generally get the death penalty, unless San Francisco prosecutors are involved.

Only for US citizens, not Mexican citizens. We don’t execute THEIR citizens.

Scott Peterson is still with us and only 13 people have been executed in CA since 1976.

"If we just go out and start taking out gang members, we become just like them."

No. The taking of lives in defense of society, in defense of our homes, wives and daughters is legitimate.

The gangs have no legitimacy outside of the warped minds of the members and enablers.

An anti-death penalty website has 31 Mexican citizens on California's death row:

The order by the ICJ in the case brought by Mexico affects more than 50 Mexican citizens, 31 of whom are on California's death row at San Quentin.

where law enforcement isn’t a no show job and where mayors actually lose elections if the mayhem gets too far out of hand

Uh-huh.

What is happening in California is also something which was predictable: Mexicans being inserted into positions of power within the police.

This is the inevitable result of Affirmative Action for the descendants of Spanish Conquistadors...and Aztec cannibals.

Some people might find that mean to say, but...truth hurts.

I could personalize this by listing the names of Police Chiefs and other "officials" all over California. But that would be counterproductive until one of them gets nailed for corruption. Which they will, because that's the "rich" culture they come from. And it endures, no matter how long they stay here...because they live within their own ethnic space, interacting only when necessary.

These are police who see no evil, hear no evil. All around them, illegal aliens go about their daily business of occupation and takeover undisturbed. But they do nothing: the illegals are their people, and will not be arrested. Or deported, because you don't deport your cousin.

So the police in California are now the criminals themselves. I guarantee you that all of them have relatives who are Mexican Mafia: family cultures are like that, and virtually all Mexican families are involved in the business of smuggling something or supporting it.

And so the assumption that our police forces are Untouchable and Not Corrupt like Mexico is becoming not true....because Mexicans are coming to dominate those forces, by the action of federal law.

Think I'm kidding? Check out the recruiting websites for the California Highway Patrol or any of the CA city police forces. They talk about nothing but "diversity".

Salinas is now a war zone and everyone admits it. How did it get that way? Simple - a corrupt and violent subculture moved in and became dominant because no one would do anything and if they did, protests & riots & lawsuits were staged to stop them.

California is done. The moron foreigner we elected Governor just signed a law restricting ammunition sales at the insistence of the Mexican government (really), and the effect of that will be this: the real citizens won't be allowed to fight back. And the cops won't either, because they're the bad guys relatives.

Just like Mexico.
