ARMY CHIEF CONCERNED FOR MUSLIM TROOPS
New York Times ^ | Joseph Berger

Posted on 11/09/2009 3:17:42 AM PST by Ronbo1948

General George Casey Jr., the Army chief of staff, said on Sunday that he was concerned that speculation about the religious beliefs of Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, accused of killing 12 fellow soldiers and one civilian and wounding dozens of others in a shooting rampage at Fort Hood, could “cause a backlash against some of our Muslim soldiers.”

“I’ve asked our Army leaders to be on the lookout for that,” General Casey said in an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union. “It would be a shame — as great a tragedy as this was — it would be a shame if our diversity became a casualty as well.”

General Casey, who was appeared on three Sunday news programs, used almost the same language during an interview on ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos,” an indication of the Army’s effort to ward off bias against the more than 3,000 Muslims in its ranks.

“A diverse Army gives us strength,” General Casey, who visited Fort Hood Friday, said on “This Week.”

If you have wondered about the polically correct mind set of the Army high command concerning Muslims within its ranks, wonder no more : The U.S. Army Chief of Staff, General Casey, is more worried about the blacklash against Muslims soldiers, who should not be allowed to serve in the U.S. Army in the first place based on their association in the corrupt, degenerate, collectivist, racist, sexist and murderous Ancient Arabian Death Cult called Islam.

I say General Casey and politically correct scum like him in the U.S. Army command structure who boot lick certain fascist politicians like Obama have blood on their hands in the deaths and wounding of the soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim soldier who they allowed to serve as a field grade officer even after he was exposed as a Jihadist by his fellow soldiers. I say General Casey should be held responsible for his words and actions that greatly contributed to the death and wounding of American soldiers. I say General Casey should face a courts martial for homicide and treason for his offenses against the Republic and his soldiers, and given the death sentence if found guilty.

I agree, but it will never happen. As this administration progresses more combat leaders will be replaced by political hack, bootlicking scum like Casey.
Does anyone have any doubts where this Benedict Arnold’s loyalties would lie if there were a popular uprising? He would be first in line ordering the troops to mow down americans.

Better announce you’re worried about “copycat” crimes also, General.

Casey's a Pentagon hack who helped screw up Iraq, replacing Sanchez and serving as the senior coalition commander in Iraq from June 2004 to February 2007. Under his watch, the Iraqi/Al Qaeda/Iranian insurgency exploded out of control, so take his opinion for what it's worth.

And with this latest case of Sudden Jihad Syndrome, it's only natural for our troops to be deeply suspicious of the Muslims in their midst, no matter how friendly, nice, or patriotic they appear to be.

Casey’s first concern should be for his dead and wounded soldiers at Fort Hood. Casey’s second concern should be the removal of all Muslims soldiers from the U.S. Army based on their association with a Death Cult that targets their fellow soldiers.

The Army Chief should be concerned about ALL his troops. Evidence suggests his prior concern for identifying internal terorist risks for our troops has been the area that is: insufficient.

Guess where he had better start stepping up to the plate?

What rot, General Casey. What does it take to get the chain of command to be concerned about the non-Muslim victims? Political correctness is a mental disorder that is getting our troops killed. I hope Senator Lieberman really does hold searching hearings and not just a whitewash that blames the victims and mandates more sensitivity training and destruction of warrior ethos.

Out of this concern for their safety, how about putting them on their own base, out in the desert, surrounded by a double barbed-wire fence?

And maybe they could “guard” the guys from Gitmo? Kind of like Permanent Latrine Orderlies. You know, make sure that no Korans get in the toilets...

It would be just like home.

Excellent post.

General Casey is concerned with diversity?

General... you have dead soldiers because of your damned ignorance and concerned for diversity.

General.... you're a disgrace. Resign and get the hell out of the way.

“Speculation” about his relgious beliefs”? Are you deaf, General?

Too bad we don’t have any Pattons with Trumans issueing orders. Truman had no problem with eliminating the Japanese completely to save soldiers. And Patton knew that to win you must kill the ENEMY and not allow them to be in your ranks.

Wrong general. A diverse army makes us divided. You can soldier with someone who respects your right to a different belief. Islam clearly does not. Look every father, mother, wife, son, daughter, brother & friend of those who died in the eye & tell them to embrace diversity. Islam is far too radical to exist peacefully with other beliefs or non- belief.

I'd be more worried about the Christian and Jewish soldiers... they have to fight the muzzies in the field and the muzzies at home. WTF??

That's all you needed to hear from the head of the ARMY. We now see how to advance up the chain of command... be PC and carry a big bodyguard. What a douche. There is no way my kid is joining the armed forces till TOFUS and even then he'll be advised to go PLC into the Corps.

The Marines have their problems but I think he'd have a better chance to avoid the PC masterba@#s.

I see a great threat allowing Muslims in our army. We make a grave error when we think if Islam as a religion. It is a totalitarian political system based on violent conquest. Their book is a manual for slaughter. Elements within the Army deliberately ignored repeated and clear signals from the terrorist in their ranks. This is treason.

Simple solution.

Offer any Muzzie soldier who feels he cannot reconcile his religion with his duty a General Discharge. A “Get out of Jail Free” card.

Or .....

(I am reminded of a scene from the TV mini-series “Shogun”, in which Richard Chamberlain’s Samurai were asked to stomp on a crucifix as a sign that they disavowed the Christian faith. One warrior would not stomp. He was “dealt with” immediately by his fellows in typical Samurai fashion. Sometimes we could learn simple but effective lessons from more “primitive” cultures. I think we could find a supply of stompable Korans somewhere.....)

I’m retired from the Army (1966 to 1986) in Military Intelligence as an enlisted man and I served under mostly fine professional officers; however, I served under several that were worthless parasites who owed their advancement to playing the “political correct” card.

One such officer was a major at Ft. Meade, Maryland who literally drove one of my co-workers to suicide because this young soldier (E-4) refused to play the PC game in regards to his honest remarks made to THE ARMY TIMES magazine about the nature of the Islamic threat to the USA as a result of the seizure of the U.S. Embassy in 1979.
