Top Al Qaeda Official Believed Killed
(CBS) CBS News has confirmed a Hellfire missile was fired from an unmanned Predator drone and likely killed a top al Qaeda official in Pakistan. Unnamed officials tell CBS News the al Qaeda figure killed was not Osama bin Laden nor his top deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri.

Interesting. I see mention of the missile strike on long war journal dot com but they say some Taliban scumbags got hit, no mention of a AQ big fish. Counterterrorismblog dot org has nothing.
I wonder why they simply don’t just identify him? But at least we won’t have dozens of threads wondering whether it’s bin Laden or Zawahiri... OR Osama or Ayman... that’s very tiring.
