Tehran, Iran (CNN) -- An Iranian national security official has called for demonstrators to be arrested following deadly weekend anti-government protests in Tehran. Soon afterward, an opposition Web site reported a wave of arrests.

"The undignified and disruptive behavior of the rioters is no longer tolerable for our people, since they have brought undignified behaviors to new heights by offending sanctities and values held dear in Islam and Iran," Naghavi Hosseini, a member of the Parliamentary National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, told state-run IRNA.

"The Nation's Judiciary must swiftly arrest the rioters who committed those crimes."

An opposition Web site, NoroozNews, said government officials took several activists into custody Monday, including some close advisors to opposition leader and former presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi.

The government did not immediately respond to the report. Video: Iranian protests turn deadly Video: Breaking point for Iran? Video: Iran's new military state Gallery: Protests in Iran RELATED TOPICS

I have to give these people (protestors) credit. At least they are trying to do something about their corrupt government.

We on the other hand...

They can not stop now. If they do, those who risked the most will be eliminated. Now is the time for Iranians to stand up to the regime.

It's started, it needs to continue. Once the Iranian people understand that if they stand together the other side doesn't stand a chance, they will be free.

It will not be long before the same thing that happened and is happening in Iran will be happening here, or we will go docilly to the camps. Our Choice.

We go docilly or we resist, either way obama plans on eliminating us.

The Executive Order concerning InterPol was one more of his ducks being lined up.

If I was Presidenr Bush and Vice President Cheney, I would start getting nervous.

I’d really love it, if they’ve gathered up enough arms and have the strength in numbers, to mass all their opposition forces, and take over the IRIB, or Evin Prison..Something like that, that isn’t posted on a site like FR where Iranian dogs of the Satan Khamenei can read it and be prepared for.

Imagine..if all the prisoners in Rvin were busted out! They’re all mostly political prisoners..supporters of the opposition....mmmmmmm.... >Bo)

There are 280 million firearms in the hands of Americans... there are literally billions and billions of rounds of ammo... 10’s of billions... BIG DIFFERENCE!
