I don’t know about that. The little I read said it was a new type of plant that nearing completion. Someone might not have wanted the good results to get out......just saying, if someone is going to lose money....
It’s fairly obvious that it was an accident, they were doing testing still, it wasn’t quite ready to open.

To clear out a line like they did is a dangerous but common event
I did it in Peru once, scared the life out of me
you open up a 6 inch or 10 inch natural gas line and just let it vent to get rid of sand particles that are on the inside of the piping.
I am not surprised it exploded, it is an accident waiting to happen.
