Superior Swedish Sub Sinks American Nuclear Subs & Aircraft Carrier, USS Reagan (Video)
YouTube ^ | 12/12/10 | Chuck Henry

Posted on 02/12/2010 10:48:29 PM PST by OneVike

Ever since WWII, America has been a dominant force upon the high seas. We have become so advanced in our military technology that the Soviet Union eventually collapsed, in large part because Ronald Reagan would not back down against them. In honor of his accomplishments and great leadership, congress named the worlds largest aircraft carrier after him, the USS Ronald Reagan. Well it has been 22 years since Reagan left office, and while we have been able to hold our status as the worlds most powerful military the world has ever seen, those days could be coming to an end.

Thanks in large part to the anti military sentiment that prevails in Washington, from both sides of the isle, America is losing the war of technical advancement. What you will see in this video is a submarine from Sweden the, NemoSaltadSobrius, that cannot be detected, and even worse it has repeatedly sunk our best and most powerful naval ships in mock war games. Check out this report out of San Diego by Chuck Henry, who reports that America is attempting to figure out how to catch in before our enemies discover the secret of its elusiveness.

Follow this link to see the video about the Swedish sub that could be the end America's domination of the
high seas. The Swedish sub "NemoSaltadSobrius" beats us in ever war game we played against it.

This is real cool, but scary also. Imagine some rogue nation like Iran, Venezuela, or N Korea getting their hands on one. Heck, Obama may even give them one if he could get his hands on it.

No it is not a hoax. The USN is paying the Swedes to come over and play ASW ops with them.

Only, it is turning out to be a bit of an embarrassment for the USN because the Swedes keep winning.

The Vikings control the seas (extreme sarcasm). Get real. It is a totally insignificant war game. This sub will be long gone if it goes in a real fight with the US Navy.

Millitary Ping!

Check out this video about a Swedish Sub that is so undetectable that it has been able to get close enough to sink the Aircraft Carrier the USS Ronald Reagan in war games and our nuclear subs cannot find it.

It is a gay sub. It attacks from the rear. Silent but deadly.

In war where the enemy can shoot back, our carriers are sitting ducks.

But, but I thought the 688-I, Seawolf and Virginia class nuke boats were superior to short-ranged and slower D-E boats?

No wonder D-E boats are now seeking attention.

Gasp! It’s an “American naval vessels menaced by undetectable supersub” story! Wow, you never, ever see those....more than two or three times a month.

Clearly it’s time to scuttle our navy and huddle under the covers, begging for mercy.

*eyeroll*

Yeah, because the egomaniac carrier admirals in the USN preferred to build them big instead of smaller, escort-type carriers in larger numbers.

Size = sex appeal.

Go ahead and laugh, but sometimes it is good to be reminded why we need to keep spending money on the military instead of stupid social programs.

One day we will reap the rewards of not keeping a strong vigil on our enemy by keeping pace with all new technology. Also, sometimes the more you spend does not mean it is always better. But if we are not spending anything to stay on top, we will eventually be number 2,,,,then number 3.....then number 4,,, and eventually looking to others to defend us like Canada and japan.

So keep on rolling those eyes, eventually you will wonder why, and then what will you roll your eyes to?

Get real yourself. The USN is good. Hell, they’re very good, but they’re not always the best in the game no matter what hoorah macho bull feces you want to throw out there.

State of the art diesel-electric boats are black holes to passive sonar. They are actually quieter than the water around them. A good driver, and this guy is obviously their varsity, can penetrate just about any escort screen if given sufficient time to position his boat.

Yes, they can be found with active sonar, and sometimes with MAD technology. But active sonar gives away more information than it collects.

The big kicker here is that a lot of countries, including China are building these new diesel-electric subs, and we are lying to ourselves if we think we know where they all are at all times. Just one of those boats, in the wrong place at the wrong time, can take out a CVN. Of course, the sub would probably be sunk shortly after he launches, but if the swap is a sub for an aircraft carrier, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone is willing to pay it.

ASW needs a great deal more attention than it is getting. I am encouraged about this report because it indicates that the brass is taking it seriously again.
