Kidnapping British sailors on different occasions and holding them for mock trials doesn’t sound like their scared.

my my, they feel threatened because we will take their oil, like we did in Iraq?
I wonder what the 12th Imam thinks about it.

QUESTION:
"You're basically what I would call a chip off the old block. Your policies are basically identical to your father, correct?"ANSWER:"I'd say we'd be very very similar. We might present the message sometimes differently.. I think in some ways the message has to be broadened and made more appealing to the entire Republican electorate because you have to win a primary." ~ Rand Paul on Alex Jones, 5/21/09

From Iran’s *perspective*, they probably do feel threatened. I have no idea what Rand Paul is all about, but just to acknowledege that perception doesn’t necessarily make him a crackpot.

I move to amend this story to “It turns out that crackpot Ron Pauls crackpot son Rand...”

Uh-oh. I was keeping an open mind about Rand, giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Looks like the apple does not fall far from the tree after all.

Israel as a “disgraceful blot” that should be “wiped off the face of the earth” - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
He said: “Anybody who recognises Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation’s fury,”

Um Rand, of course they feel threatened. They've threatened the destruction of a number of nations, and that didn't go over too well with said nations.
And of course it doesn't hurt that they have a psycho paranoid nutjob in charge.

It hasn't been a good week or so for Libertarians disguising themselves as Republicans.
They keep blowing their cover by slipping up and saying goofy stuff in public.

I do so like much of the libertarian thing in theory....
....but every time one of this father/son team opens their mouths....they just prove to be nothing but anti-semites who are opposed to defending America...and are also 9/11 truthers.
so once again I say here in FR, that I am a conservative with small ‘L’ libertarian, leanings.

Well our previous President DID describe them as part of the “Axis of Evil” along with Iraq and Korea. We have overthrown 1 of 3 of the countries so identified, so far. I think the current regime in Iran SHOULD feel threatened by the USA. If we were led by someone like T.R. we’d have already deposed their Ayatollahs and replaced them with modernists friendly to the west.
The question isn’t “why they are doing this” at this point, history is history. It’s “what are we going to do about it”. If anything.
To: Michael van der Galien
Well, there goes giving him the benefit of the doubt.
