Three female Democrats running for statewide office in California have been endorsed by the pro-choice group EMILY's List.

The PAC, which supports pro-choice female candidates, announced today that it is backing Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn, who is running for lieutenant governor, San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris, a candidate for attorney general, and state Sen. I guess that they were unaware that Fiorina and Whitman were women running for public office in California.

Interesting! Guess they don’t care how good they’d be, as long as they are WOMEN! (And hey, I am a woman, too, and I DO NOT endorse voting by sex.)

Isn't endorsing specific candidates a violation of nonprofit status?

EMILY's List is a PAC. Normally, you do not see newspapers writing articles when a PAC endorses a candidate. But these are Democrats, and EMILY's List is a bunch of NOW Hags, so that makes it News You Can Use that every good reporter jumps right on.

Thanks for the clarification. I do realize, of course, that nonprofits are allowed to endorse candidates as long as they are democrats. How many times have we seen democrats speaking and being endorsed in liberal churches, for instance, and there is never any discussion of the loss of nonprofit status.
