Isn't endorsing specific candidates a violation of nonprofit status?

EMILY's List is a PAC. Normally, you do not see newspapers writing articles when a PAC endorses a candidate. But these are Democrats, and EMILY's List is a bunch of NOW Hags, so that makes it News You Can Use that every good reporter jumps right on.

Thanks for the clarification. I do realize, of course, that nonprofits are allowed to endorse candidates as long as they are democrats. How many times have we seen democrats speaking and being endorsed in liberal churches, for instance, and there is never any discussion of the loss of nonprofit status.
