Again it seems that "O" spoke in the hopeful "future". He talked about 300 jobs created at Celgard and 1000 ancillary jobs by suppliers by the Stimulus grant of $41 Million to Celgard. Problem: Grant was approved and given on Feb 1 by DOE, and none has been spent yet. Indeed the projection is that 289 jobs will be created over the next 5 years. The $41 Million is part of $91 million that the State is giving to Celgard to build a new facility in Concord, NC. The relevant paragraphs are about 2/3 of the way down in the article. Rush seems to be the only National Outlet that caught this. Fox just repeated ad nauseum the White House version as iterated by the big "O".

The government says that stimulus spending created up to 2.1 million jobs as of Dec. 31, including 62,000 in North Carolina. I doubt very many of those 62,000 jobs were in Charlotte. Last I heard, their unemployment rate was 12.8%. Thanks, Barry.

it would not be surprising that in the five years spending of the stimulus, the plant will fail and no one will know what happened to the money.
