(April 5) -- The U.S. Geological Survey is blaming day-to-day seismological changes for Sunday's 7.2 earthquake along the U.S.-Mexico border. But Deepak Chopra, the famed alternative-medicine practitioner and transcendental meditation guru, is pretty sure he knows what really happened.
"Had a powerful meditation just now -- caused an earthquake in Southern California," Chopra wrote to his nearly 179,000 Twitter followers shortly after the quake.
And then, to clarify: "Was meditating on Shiva mantra & earth began to shake," he tweeted. "Sorry about that."

Well, if he admits it, there is only one recourse, he must be held responsible for compensating for all the damage it caused.
He should really figure out a way to have quakeless meditations, or else give them up for the good of mankind.

Deepak deceptively sneaked past peer review a manuscript promoting medical claims such as "yogic flying." claiming that, by mastering this technique, people can develop the ability to walk through walls, make themselves invisible, develop the "strength of an elephant," reverse the aging process, and fly through the air without the benefit of machines. In addition, claims are made that if people engage in yogic flying in large groups they can prevent bad weather, traffic fatalities, and even war.
So, from what this grifter says he did all by himself in his "tweet" to his adoring followers, it appears he can just go "solo" and doesn't need to be part of a large group of yogic fliers to accomplish these amazing feats. /s bttt

Nataraja’s dance symbolizes the rhythm of the universe and the cycles of creation and destruction.
In images of Shiva, the water flowing from his hair represents the River Ganges, considered a goddess in Hindu mythology. According to legend, when Ganga came down from the heavens, the earth was overwhelmed with torrential floods. Shiva offered to serve as a conduit so that human beings could benefit from the purifying water without drowning in it. It is also said that Shiva’s skin is blue because when Ganga flooded the earth, he swallowed the poison that was churned up in the oceans, thus saving the universe.
The snake coiled around Shiva’s neck represents kundalini or the spiritual energy of life. In one hand he holds a trident symbolizing his power to destroy evil and ignorance. The three prongs of the trident stand for Shiva’s fundamental powers: will, action, and wisdom. Shiva also holds a drum that resonates with the sound Om – the universal sound of creation in Vedic philosophy.
