Tea Party Crasher Hides 'Personal Political Manifesto' -- No Wonder!
Big Journalism ^ | 4/14/2010 | Morgen Richmond

So Jason Levin is the total moron who put together the “Crash the Tea Party” web site. Levin is not your garden variety moron though. I mean it takes a pretty impressive level of idiocy to attempt to covertly infiltrate the biggest and most widely covered political movement in the country at the moment using a publicly available web site to provide details and solicit support for your plan. This idea is so completely idiotic that when I first heard about it I figured Levin would turn out to be an internet marketer and that this was really just a PR ploy. But alas, it seems he really is just stupid.

However, since Levin is now getting some media coverage for his little scheme – from the AP and TPM among others – I decided to dig around a bit and see if I could add anything interesting to the public record on Mr. Levin. (Not surprisingly, Free Republic was the first to expose Levin’s real identity and has dug up a lot of other useful information about him.) What I managed to find is Levin’s personal blog on Blogger, which unfortunately (if not surprisingly) seems to have been recently blocked from public view. Equally regrettable, the site is also excluded from Google’s web caching feature so it is impossible to view any full pages on his site. However, by using the partial text results from this Google search, along with a Digg post, and some guesswork on key words, I’ve been able to uncover the gist of a blog post of Levin’s from May 2008 entitled “My Personal Political Manifesto”. It’s organized into ten statements of belief. Here are the partial segments I was able to uncover:

Inconsistent ramblings of someone who takes a little from column A and a little from column B and some from column C.

See http://news.infoshop.org/ for more about the incoherence of those that call themselves “anarchists”.

Pretty much everyone could find a thing or three they agree with with some of these people since their overall philosophy, if you could call it that, is just a mishmash of things based on their personal biases.

Critical thinking and logic are not to be found. Lots of emoting can be seen there, though.

“And it should be taxed”

I never understood why this is always whipped out for justification. As if my goal in life is to make tax revenue as large as possible. Okay, I realize people like free money (and that they somehow think the government having more money will benefit them, which it won’t, not even by decreasing their own tax burden). But does it have to be always and forever the first or second reason for legalization? Can’t it be a footnote, or something?

Quite the Liberaltarian.

Except for that part about universal health care. Libertarians who model themselves after Jefferson want nothing to do with it.

Stop allowing the left to destroy the language. They've already done it to the term "anarchist". That means pretty much nothing since it could mean anything.

They stole "liberal" and now that means statist of some sort.

Stop being a tool for or falling for the propagandists.

“for more about the incoherence of those that call themselves anarchists’”

How can any self-respecting anarchist advocate so much taxation?

These people don’t think! They emote! They like the state to meddle in things they like the state meddling in. They don’t want it meddling in things they don’t want it meddling in.

They want universal health care. Maybe they think an MJ tax will pay for it.

Ideological purity and internal consistency is a good thing. These leftist idiots don’t have either.

I assumed it was meant in a pejorative way. I didn’t know it was meant to make a distinction.

OK. Distinction noted. I have always assumed that it was meant in a negative way around here. Thanks for clearing that up.

“I assumed it was meant in a pejorative way. I didn’t know it was meant to make a distinction.”

I won’t rule out that it was meant to be pejorative to libertarians of all stripes. Can’t read minds. But certainly distinguishing leftist libertarian-types from rightists was intentional, I think.

Which is why I refrain from calling leftists “liberals”.

In fairness to the MODs there were curse words in the manifesto so I can see why it was removed. No big deal, just click the source link.
