My mother and her whole family's from Louisiana and I lived there for five years. I have no idea what their problem is other than they, too, are infected with Political Correctness.
North La. used to be the most Conservative part of La. with Shreveport being the conservative stronghold. Today, SE La. seems to have taken over that role with NOLA refugees having swarmed the North Shore Parishes of Lake Pontchartrain and Shreveport becoming a Black Ghetto.

In four years, he has gone from a never-trust-the-government activist to the confidential informant who helped the FBI arrest two Austin men on suspicion of building firebombs during the Republican National Convention in St. Paul in September...Darby was the government's chief informant in the case against David McKay and Bradley Crowder. The two are scheduled to go on trial in U.S. District Court on Jan. 26 on accusations they built Molotov cocktails during the convention. They are being held without bail.
Prosecutors say the two men built the firebombs because they were angry that police had seized a trailer filled with riot shields they had built and hauled to Minnesota.
In a conversation recorded by the FBI, McKay told Darby he planned to use the explosives on law-enforcement cars parked in a lot near the convention site, officials said.
"What if there's a cop sleeping in the car?" Darby asked McKay, according to an affidavit by Christopher Langert, a special agent in the FBI's Minneapolis office. "He'll wake up," McKay allegedly replied.
McKay also told Darby, "It's worth it if an officer gets burned or maimed," the affidavit said.

Well, I’m heading to your old “stomping ground” as soon as I finish this post. - The Mississippi Coast. We have three “free” nights (LOL!) at a Biloxi Casino. I havn’t been since Katrina but was there right before when my Son got married in NOLA. He married a very nice gal from a small town betweeen NOLA and Baton Rouge, After the wedding, we went on over to Biloxi and spent a few days there. My SO has been back since but I couldn’t bear to see all the damage done to the old gracious homes and the magnificent trees along old highway 90 across from the Beach.
Oh well, don’t let the Bluebellies git ya down. I’ve almost crawled through the monitor after a few of ‘em on my Pat B. article. Totally lost my cool and probaly got a little too profane when I told one to go F____himself.
What can I say but ‘Cest la Vie.
The left is scared of what they see coming down the road at them, they are in the process of a preempt propaganda effort to win over public opinion. Where, for God's sake is a voice, a voice of courage and truth, a pro-American values voice, a man/woman with leadership skills?
I see no one standing up, I see a lot of running away, flip-flopping, apologies. I like Mrs. Palin, but she cannot alone sound the call. We need someone not afraid to simply explain that unless the left is stopped, we are all going down the toilet.
What a wonderful opportunity this was for Jindal, but like all the rest, he ran and refused to stand up like a man and tell the world what happened, what will happen if this kind of thing is allowed to continue. He is an elected politician, not a leader. Shame on him.

I don't think so. We take over the GOP at the state and local levels and we will own the national. What I was saying was that our takeover must come at the grassroots level. We can't change the GOP from the top down. But we can from the bottom up.

When something fits the going pattern—when it seems to go with the flow, or match the current trend—it’s reasonable to conclude the likelihood of its occurrence in fact.
I know this isn’t concrete proof. But in many cases the general patterns are more revealing than the discrete instances. (Ask an intelligence expert.)
For many years, the overwhelming patterns have been:
1)Republicans withering and giving in to Democrats
2)Republicans who are hard core Democrats on the inside and Republican in name only, acting in Democrats’ favor during critical moments
3)Democrats using underhanded tactics like bribery and extortion against Republicans and conservatives
And the flip side to your position is that you have to explain the circumstances in some other way.
That is, if you think your position is correct, you must come up with an explanation for why the governors’ office isn’t stepping up to the plate.
