California Democratic senator Barbara boxer is trailing Republican challenger Carly Fiorina by 2 points--47% to 45%--in a new SurveyUSA poll of likely voters released this evening. Fiorina has been closing in on Boxer--cutting the Democrat's lead from six, to five, to four, to three points in the last four polls--but this is the first public poll showing Fiorina in the lead.

Watch your back Carly. Boxer’s strategy her last to elections has been to release some type of dirt against her opponant about a week prior to the election.
But of course neither unions nor Hussein’s slush fund—sometimes known as the stimulus—have come into play. Limitless funds will be thrown at the race on Boxer’s behalf. But thankfully the polls will have ample “security.” The Black Panthers will see to that!!
Sounds like it’s time to send Boxer another concern troll email. For a while I sent her one every day, counseling her on a sure fire way to get her poll numbers up. Namely, she needed to be just a little more aggressive in insisting her constituents call her ‘Senator’.

Since Fiorina is a cancer survivor, I’m hoping Boxer’s normal tactics won’t be recieved well...
Problem is, Babs has 3 times the money Carly has and she will unleash a barrage of attack ads 2 weeks before the Election and Carly will not have the wherewithal to respond.

Fiorina is much richer than Boxer though, and can put as much of her personal wealth into her campaign as necessary if she needs to, as she already did before during the GOP primaries.

Boxer is an idiot who shouldn’t be in the Senate.
They are good enough as a pollster. Still this is in the margin of error. Fiorina if she doesn’t goof up should be able to win. Whitman is pulling ahead of Brown significantly and the money storm that they can produce should not be ignored. Boxer won’t go down easily but this year she can be brought down. Fiorina would be running away with this if she were more likable and didn’t have such high negatives but at least she seems to be moving this race in the right direction.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. And the answer is that once Sarah Palin endorsed Carly (who was trailing Campbell at the time), it was all over for Campbell and for Chuck Devore.
Chuck DeVore was a good guy and good Conservative, but unfortunately he never got much traction. Campbell was more libertarian, but at least he stood for something and he was doing well in both the polls against the other two and in the polls against Boxer. Carly is just rich and can spend millions creating and polishing an image, which is likely what got her the endorsement.
I'll vote for Carly, but only to get Boxer out of there, not because I have any appreciation of Carly Fiorina.
