This wll exploe a few heads. Of course CNN will be accused of bias...until they show a poll with Palin in the lead then they will be hailed as the Oracle at Delphi.

Wishful thinkingt makes for poor political strategy.

Mitt Romney comes in No. 1 among Tea Party supporters with 22 percent, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is second with 19 percent...

I would love to know who they polled in this. Mitt and Newt don't even hit the radar of the average citizen, they are beltway choices. I've been to dozens of tea party rallies and have seen scant mention of either of these two. On Conservative sites from here to Campaign for Liberty (Libertarian leaning) to some of the more religious sites, to 2nd amendment group's sites, there is little love for these two, at that, little attention given at all.

There’s something clearly fishy about this article. I go to a lot of Tea Party events and agree that Palin is not a unanimous choice but I never hear Romney and Gingrich mentioned except disparagingly.

Blatant lies. No way in hell Romney and Newt are the Tea Party favs. Once again we see the LSM hijacking a conservative movement and pushing RINOS.

CNN poll out Friday suggests Sarah Palin isn't the group's clear favorite for the White House.
Gee, could it be because she's not running?

Who's the dunce in this picture?

It will be Romney or Palin.

Fairly easy choice for a conservative lol.

Oh how they want to shape public opinion. They are praying for another John McLame to run and endorse their candidate at the same time. It’s good to see they are off to an early start this time. They almost let the Maverick slip away early in the race in 08. It was so much work to weed out the qualified candidates.

Hang on, I am looking at the actual results linked, and CNN is not representing the results correctly. Newt didn’t come in 2nd with 19%, in the most recent poll, he came in third with 15%, Palin came in 2nd with 18% (Romney still leading with 21%)

Does the overwhelming number of libtard comments on the orginal post give you a clue that CNN may not exactly be running a scientific poll here?

Remind me again about how many TEA party gatherings that Mitt and Newt have attended.

Nobody's head will be exploding, Bob. That's wishful thinking on your part.

Not too many folks around this forum put too much stock in a poll that has Mitt @ #1 and Newt @ #2.

Good effort on your part, though. LOL

Romney is left of RINO status. He is who the MSM wants the Republicans to nominate. It’s sort of like when the MSM was saying that Guilliani was the “clear favorite” for the Republican nomination before the 2008 elections, ignoring Fred Thomas who was ahead of him in every poll.

I doubt Romney is a tea party favorite. Palin may have close ties with some, but her ties with McShame will hurt her with many TP’ers.

CNN seven point margin of error? Wow. CNN loses more respect every day. How it manages it, is beyond me, since they’re all but toast as it is.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Tea Party members do have some suspicions about Sarah, but at this point I don’t see a lot better than her out there either.

Mitt Romney? Newt Gingrich? CNN’s problem is that it doesn’t even know the right questions these days.

Those two have about as much chance of being president as I do, but if there’s a way for the establishment Republican party to manage it, I’ll have to eat those words.

We’ve got a guy like Obama in there, and the best we can come up with is the last three stinky fish in the barrel.

Interesting that only 2% of the sample were active tea partiers, and another 26% were favorable toward the tea party but not active. 21% of the sample was opposed to the tea party. The rest didn't know or didn't care.

Puts a little different slant on things to know the facts and not just read the headline.
