Doing something about the unthinkable - ALAN KEYES
Loyal to Liberty ^ | August 23, 2010 | Alan Keyes

Posted on 08/23/2010 11:37:57 AM PDT by EternalVigilance

The title of this post obviously alludes to Herman Kahn’s book, Thinking About the Unthinkable . Kahn is famous for his contributions to strategic thought at the onset of the age of thermonuclear war. With the G-string concealed bias one comes to expect there, the Wikipedia article about him suggests that his influence contributed to “the fallout shelters, evacuation scenarios, and civil defense drills now seen as emblematic of the paranoid 1950s”.

Paranoia implies an irrational sense of threat and persecution. Yet given mid-twentieth century realities, the real madness (or is it wickedly calculated deception?) appears evident in the left’s malignly insistent denigration of the national security concerns of 1950s’ U.S. policy makers. Of course the motive for this denigration has little to do with the strategic threats that were Kahn’s main field of expertise. Rather it relates to the dangers invoked by another famous name from that era, Joseph McCarthy. He was a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin famous (infamous in leftist circles) for asserting that there were communists in the U.S. State Department, and for relentlessly interrogating people he suspected of promoting communist influence in the United States. His activities permanently traumatized America’s left-leaning academic and media elites.

The Encyclopedia Britannica’s online article on McCarthy makes passing reference to the fact that, though McCarthy’s hearings simply stirred public outrage and concern, “less flamboyant government agencies actually did identify and prosecute cases of Communist infiltration.” These included the case of Alger Hiss a “former U.S. state Department official who was convicted in January 1950 of perjury concerning his dealings with Whittaker Chambers, who accused him of membership in a communist espionage ring.” Hiss adamantly denied the accusation. Defending him became one of the obligations of membership in the aforementioned left-leaning elites.

“ALAN KEYES” a real black man and a REAL AMERICAN that I could easily vote for president, in fact I did once before.

What we have now is...... best left unsaid.

Rethinking the unthinkable? Nope.

The "unthinkable" has been a fact of life for many decades. It's just that the frogs are finally, albeit too late, realizing it.

IMHO we are beyond the endgame...

Only a culling of the herd will restore freedom, liberty and the Republic.

“ALAN KEYES” a real black man and a REAL AMERICAN that I could easily vote for president, in fact I did once before.

I also voted for him once before, for President of the United States.

I am proud of that vote.

Very powerful interview:

Alan Keyes, in an interview with a reporter from KHAS-TV, filmed outside a fundraiser for the AAA Crisis Pregnancy Center in Hastings, Neb., said this:

“Obama is a radical communist, and I think it is becoming clear. That is what I told people in Illinois and now everybody realizes it’s true,” said Keyes, who ran unsuccessfully against Obama for the state’s open Senate seat in 2004. “He is going to destroy this country, and we are either going to stop him or the United States of America is going to cease to exist.”

It was my distinct pleasure to shake his hand, and to vote for him. I'd vote for him again, too.

Alan Speaks the Truth and not many can handle the Truth.

I was reading an article that peaked my interest over at American Thinker.

Muslims and Venezuleans procreating like mad.

American and Europeans no so much with the avg. 1.7 kids.

Who will end up ruling the Globe with those rates?

With the flip/flopping of the republicans away from Conservative voters who will speak for and represent in DC Christian Conservatives.

Alan has never flipped flopped on his Conservative Catholic values and charactor like other politicians.

KV still has the lil baby feet lapel pin Alan gave him over a decade ago.

Sigh...I wish more men like Alan would step up and take this country back.

Even Keyes had his deep end to go off of. Remember his reparations scheme.
