Barney Frank bemoans Sean Bielat’s ‘right wing’ tactics
Boston Herald ^ | November 2, 2010 | Edward Mason, Jessica Heslam and Dave Wedge

Fighting for his political life, a frustrated U.S. Rep. Barney Frank said he was “disappointed” in Sean Bielat’s campaign, saying the surging newcomer has succumbed to the usual right-wing tactics.

“I’m disappointed in the campaign,” Frank said while greeting voters in Sharon. “He’s talked very little about the issues and has been a vehicle for an angry right wing.”

When the Republicans take control, I want a forensic audit of everything Barney Frank has done since he first took office. I wouldn’t mind if his office emails got leaked either.

Does right wing tactics mean that he’s standing up for his campaign and the people who might choose him?

Frank said while greeting voters in Sharon.

He's in SHARON?

Sharon is one of the most densely-populated Jewish towns outside of Israel. That is NOT a joke or a gag, it is heavily Jewish liberal. He should be clocking 99.999% of the vote there.

And he's out campaigning THERE?

I was going to just post a joke, but this is truly shocking. (I grew up very close by.)

Does right wing tactics mean...

Means that the election was stolen by the voters!

Uhhh Who cares what Barney feels? If we cared about what he approves of, Sean Beilat would not be doing well in the first place. Sean is where is he is because we disapprove of Barney!!!

the usual "right-wing tactics."

Yeah, calling for cuts in taxes and spending, and advocating smaller gov't in general. How underhanded!

the usual right-wing tactics.

And you're being your usual fat-assed self.

THIS JUST IN...the areas where Republicans need big turnout in Massachusetts are getting VERY heavy turnout, and in Boston people are voting 2-1 for BAKER.

Duval Patrick and Barney Frank are in trouble.

I'm not saying they'll lose, but this is the closest I've come to thinking they could.

Too bad he will have to drive to either Stoughton or Brockton to drown his sorrows with a cocktail, since Sharon is a dry town..

They’ll be dry, too, if he drinks there, the fat pig.

Like he’d be caught dead in STOUGHTON. See you at the Town Spa, Bawney, with the Little People! :P

No, by right wing tactics, Frank means the GOP candidate is:

(1) Talking about Barney Franks’ record

(2) Talking about issues

(3) Refusing to give up

What nonsense. I live in MA and the campaign has been about nothing but the issues. The issues about Barney and his sweet deals with the banks, his private jet rides with companies bailed out with Tarp, his protection of Fannie and Freddie, his role in the economic meltdown.

These are not personal attacks. These are bringing to light his actions as a representative of the people.

And he’s not used to it and that’s why he’s pissed. His constituency is being made aware and if he’s not gone after tonight, he’ll be gone or retired in two years.
