Why am I not reassured?
This is a perfect example of the industry or consumers policing themselves where no govt. is needed. Google and FaceBook are free. There is no imperative to use them. If you don’t like what they do, dont’ use them. If they don;t set their stuff up so folks like to use them, they wont. It’s so simple. Instead we are going to get a govt. intervention that eliminates all kinds of innovation and new business models for that lame excuse ? Remember - everything the govt. touches turns to shiite.

Here we go, another agency, 10,000 new employees making $150, 000.00 per year.
This effort will come out something like this:
A Gov’t agency will be formed to track and collect all data on your internet activity so that they can put it in a “lock box” to keep you safe from prying eyes.
