I claim that Olbermann was raised in the Westboro Baptist Church and is one of their higher achieving psychopaths. He walks with those people, maybe not on the exact cause even though they are both against the Iraq War, but they clearly take the same miscreant path to exercising a daily spit speckled loathing and hatred of ideological opponents. It is scary to watch, but after enough times it just becomes annoying.
Olbermann is like watching an epileptic seizure victim - horrifying at first but eventually you see it as an uncontrollable sickness, of a body in a psychotic trance, a human brain shredded into a Tourettes-like puree, a cytoplastic goulash that can still unimaginably mutter curse words, who is simply beyond the realm of human rationality and scientific help, and finally you are are brought to sympathy for his incurable ailment.
Bring him to Lourdes and simply hold him under until we are cured!

However contemptibly pathetic a clown Olbermann may be, he's a latecomer to the circus.
My biggest problem with Fox News is it's willful legitimation of Jerry Rivers. The man has been a risible and corrosive phony from the first moment he had a camera on him. I completely fail to understand how any news org wishing to be considered serious and legitimate could provide him a venue. He is a stain; a blot; an encrusted pool of vomit; a festering pile of offal.

Exactly so. The so-called “long-gone era of television journalism” being pined for never existed, and never will exist. It never existed in print, either.
On that note, I’ve seen a short history write up here on the rise of the fiction of “objective journalism” with the rise of the wire services. Does anyone know what I’m talking about, and have a link for it?
I have the same feelings about Geraldo “The Fake”. FNC won’t respond to any emails when I tell them why I’m changing the channel. I get the same silence from the Weather Channel folks when I voice my displeasure with Al Roker.

I’ve heard of William Randolph Hearst, read a little bit about the guy. Like any other “news man”, the guy was a progressive. Actually, he was a “reformer” which is what progressives called themselves before they called themselves progressives.
Like all progressives, the news itself is simply just another means to an end.

I think that clearly “the way it is” isn’t how it was.
We got the world through the eyes of a progressive. Whatever they didn’t want you to know, you didn’t know.
I’m thankful every day that “journalists” don’t have that ability anymore.
If you’re at all interested in Hearst, I highly recommend this book. I read it about a year ago.

Koppel proves he’s still an ignorant, uninformed leftist when he claims Olbermann has 1 million viewers and compares Chris Wallace to Olbermann. Personally, I’m looking forward to a cat fight between two members of the leftist propaganda corps, especially after NBC totally caved in to Olbie.
I watched Olbie’s “special comment” tonight. It was hilarious to see this preening egomaniac compare himself to Edward R Murrow. I suspect his act is wearing thin even with the leftists at NBC. Even they must realize he’s making them all look the idiots they are.
