LePage is a bigot because he’s skipping the MLK celebration. It is mandatory he MUST attend - never mind that few blacks even live in ME!

The NAACP spokesman said that “His words are a reminder of the worst aspects of Maine’s history.”

What were those worst aspects? Can he be more specific?

I don’t think Maine had many cotton plantations.

Maybe he needs to take a Sharpie and mark off a spot for them if his verbal suggestion wasn’t clear enough.

His son isn’t black enough for the NAACLP. That’s the real issue.

Maine, after 50 years, has flipped back to its roots - with a Republican governor, house and senate.

On Gov. LePage's first day in office, he announced that Maine is no longer a sanctuary state - illegals will not get welfare.

Gov. LePage knows what it's like to work had - he was on the street at age 11.

He eventually worked his way into management of a large firm in Maine. He knows what it's like to work for a paycheck and what it is to meet a payroll.

He was elected mayor of Waterville, a heavily democrat city. He was so successful at getting the city back on tract that he was reelected...

He's a died in the wool conservative and does not suffer fools gladly - as people are beginning to learn. It won't be long before the comparisons to Gov. Christie will be made - by his actions as well as his physical looks - as I said "Were LePage and Christie twins separated at birth?" ;o)

ahaha
I think the NAACP and a lot of others have maxed out their race card - maybe even overdrawn...but they don't understand that yet.

The guy is dumb. To miss out on the MLK dinner - there is always a dinner with those events - with Black soul food, fried chicken, ribs, sweet potato pie. I always bought a ticket when I worked at my federal agency.

Like this guy already. Anyone who tells the NAACP to “kiss my ass” has my vote. Too bad I don’t live in Maine.

this is where these people trip themselves up. They're so used to being able to just intimidate, to control people with the fear of being labeled a racist - that they don't check their facts first. there may be a lot of petard hoisting in the months to come.

LePage has a Jamaican son by adoption. He has said that if they want to find out if he is a bigot, they can talk to his son.

LePage is a stitch. He has them all over at NAACP in a whirling dervish tizzy. Their arcane , totalitarian political correctness is on display for all to see.

I hope Le Page continues to stick it to them.Who do they think they are to dictate morality and conduct to a nation of free people? Have the NAACP no shame??? EFF them royally!
They seek to impose the very chains from which they complain they are not liberated.

Michael King plagiarized his Doctoral Dissertation in Massachusetts which was given to him any way because of his race. He was an serial adulterer (every town) according tho his travel companion , Ralph Abernathy of the Southern Christian Leadership Council in his book but worst of all he was a committed Communist and the FBI had file drawers full of wire taps of he and his Lawyer talking to Communist in China (mainly) and Russia. He was horrible. For Ronald Reagan to sign the bill to make this a day off for parasite government workers shows that he had Alzheimer’s. I go to work early, work hard and work late. I do not celebrate this day. I abhor the s.o.b.

It may be that the learning curve for the real racists - like NAACP, the REV-er-rent Jackson, etc, is going to prove very slow.

They used it so successfully for decades to intimidate, blackmail and reap fortunes.

It's been overdone. People aren't falling for it anymore.

And Thank you< Lord.

Are you sure about the adoption? Are you just assuming that when LePage refers to the Jamaican kid as his son, that he has legally adopted him? I’m confused on this point.

the story reports he referred to the young man as “Devon Richard, a 25-year-old black Jamaican that LePage took into his family at the age of 17. “

Story has changed from yesterday! Radio said the NAAPC wanted the Gov to meet with black prison inmates only. Gov said all inmates or no deal. NAACP turned him down.
