Michele Bachmann's Presidential Ambitions Take Her To New Hampshire, With Husband And Kids In Tow
ABC ^ | 3/11/11 | Amy Walter

ABC News’ Amy Walter and Michael Falcone report:

Rep. Michele Bachmann, the leader of the House Tea Party caucus and a favorite of conservatives, is wading deeper into presidential waters this weekend with a multi-stop trip to the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire.

Bachmann’s main event in the Granite State will be a Saturday speech at a fundraising brunch organized by the New Hampshire Republican State Committee.

A source close to Bachmann said the Minnesota Republican “will be talking about how beating Obama starts with defunding ObamaCare and the need for a constitutional conservative to be the Republican nominee.”

Whether Bachmann wants a shot at becoming that nominee remains an open question, but she’s certainly not shying away from the speculation nor is she shunning all the media attention. Not only will C-SPAN cameras be present for her speech in Nashua but Bachmann announced on Friday that she would be streaming it live on her Facebook page. (She invited supporters to tune in at about 11:25 a.m. ET.)

And Bachmann won’t be flying solo in New Hampshire either. She will be accompanied by at least three of her children and her husband, Marcus. The Bachmanns have five children and have provided foster care to 23 others.

She’s an excellent choice for president. As is Palin.

Michele can’t win. Neither can Sarah nor Herman Cain.

She's gonna run.

We need her!

Sarah can be her campaign manager.

So much for my ever being a male chauvinist pig...

Michele sure makes for one hell of a congress critter for us in the 6th!

True conservatives in government are hard to come by these days and when we have them running for POTUS we conservatives need to support them 110%.

I AM a male chauvinist pig, but I recognize a fledgling Thatcherite in Michele Bachmann.

You got it halfway correct, Michele Bachmann would make the best candidate. She has the brain power to hold her own and give better than she gets in any discussion. No ghost writers and no prompter.,

If she runs, with or without the ‘R’ endorsement, I will vote for her over any run-of-the-mill ‘R’ candidate. In years past, I have worked my butt off for candidates stretching back to the wake of Nixon. No more. From the last year of Bush II, I determined to vote principle over pragmatism. If the nation falters and falls, then it will be getting what it deserves, and, consequentially, it may get the beating it needs to wake up and shrug off the narcotic delusion that moderation is better than principle.

I firmly believe that enough people feel the same way that without a national candidate of solid conservative convictions (and actions) the left will retake the WH. The conservative base is clearly tired of the same’ol, same’ol from the pubbies. Apparently, 1996 didn't teach folks any lessons.

Need to remove the top part of the sign, as Neal Boortz said the otherday, “if someone gave him 10 million dollars to help Palin win the president what would he do ? His answer give the money back.

There is a growing trend out there: people want Sarah Palin to run for president in 2012. But you will be surprised at who exactly is pumped for a Palin run -- Progressives. Liberals. Democrats. Folks, there is a reason for this. These people are pushing for Sarah Palin to run because they know that she would be crushed by Barack Obama. Look .... I like the lady, but this isn't my first presidential rodeo. I'm just telling you the painful truth. If you want Barack Obama to be president for another six years, nominate Sarah Palin as the GOP candidate.

From Neal Boortz,

I love Palin, but totally agree w Boortz. you know who could get this country back to economic greatness- Trump. heard him on Rush last week...put him on head of ticket w Bachmann, Demint or another conservative...Obambi would be crushed.

I agree. The same can be said of DeMint, though I guess he's not running.

As you are the most sensible on this topic/thread, I’ll tell you why.

America thought that it would be really cool to elect a black person to be POTUS, even though he was no more black than he was white.

And then, we would be ready to elect a woman. Or an actual black person.

In the aftermath of this disaster, America wants to go back and start over with a very white male to get this country back on an even keel.

Failed experiment.
