Goldstone and Judas: Brothers in Arms By Norma Zager

As a newspaper editor I am well aware the old saw about lies making headlines and retractions being hidden on the obituary page is most often true.
I am also aware the pen is mightier than the sword. Goldstone’s Report is further evidence of this reality.
What surprises me is shock people are expressing over the lack of outrage over Goldstone’s retraction of the lies in his report on Israel.
The world today is filled with vicious untruths concerning the Jewish State. There are no facts or evidence in any of the propaganda disseminated so egregiously, and effectively, by the haters.
Yet, that never seemed to bother anyone before. Why now?
I imagine it is because the Goldstone Report was so damning to Israel and worse, it was written by a Jewish man. A Judas moment if ever there was one. Interesting, it is another Jewish man who has delivered his own into the hands of the enemy for thirty pieces of silver.
As Judas proved, no one is as destructive toward a Jew as another Jew, and, when one of the most evil reports accusing Israel of war crimes is suddenly available to Israel’s enemies as a tool of destruction, its Jewish roots are even more tragic.
Now the truth has been revealed. The lies have been countered and reversed, but like the small retraction on the obituary page no one reads, so too will Israel’s reputation continue to be damaged irreparably by use of a false document.
Like Judas, Goldstone’s betrayal is a complete success.
Sadly, it is only the headlines people remember.
Any public relations guru is well aware damning statements that go instantly and fervently unchallenged live on in infamy.
People only remember the headlines screaming evil and misbehavior. Even when countered they retain a place in the world’s consciousness and take on a life of their own.
So it will be with the Goldstone Report.
It is hard to believe a single document would be the last nail in Israel’s coffin, but it was and will remain so.
Those intent on destroying Israel will continue to use the report to prove their “case” that the Jews should be finished off once and for all and of course, Hitler had the right idea.
What makes the situation so tragic is that it was a Jewish man who delivered the Jews into the hands of their destroyers.
In May when another Flotilla heads for Israel there may be another showdown. This time Israel’s enemies are even better prepared. They have enlisted the entire world against her now. It will be a fait accompli and her destruction imminent.
Anti Semitism is no longer a personal disease. It has spread like the Plague through the entire world. Countries have actually adopted Jewish hatred as a matter of policy.
If Hitler were alive today, England would be siding with Germany, not attempting to destroy it.
The Goldstone Report will serve as the Francis Ferdinand moment for the war against the Jews. Then the armies will band together against a common enemy and begin the ultimate war.
However, this war is not solely against the country of Israel, but against the mere 14 million Jews who have managed to survive, despite consistent attempts to wipe them off the earth.
The Middle East has begun its revolution. Even leaders who are Muslim, but don’t meet the criteria of the Caliphate’s ideals, are being eliminated. This process will not stop.
Gaddafi will be destroyed, not simply because he is a bad man, but because he is too friendly toward the West.
The new world Islam is building cannot entertain moderation.
Today in Israel Hamas fired a missile at a bus filled with schoolchildren. The one remaining child on the bus is now fighting for his life. The bus driver is in critical condition.
It is interesting that over 150 missiles fired at innocent Israeli civilians this year has been largely ignored by the media.
Yet, a vicious report filled with lies is covered and coveted throughout the world.
Even when its author admits it is a lie, there is no reaction. The evil United Nations ignored the denial and refuses to discredit a document that gives them carte blanche to destroy Israel.
Sadly more will be killed. Children will die awash in their innocence and blameless for no other crime than they were born Jews. This is the way of hatred in the world. This is the way of evil. This is the Devil’s greatest victory on earth.
Satan is well aware good people will turn away and allow evil free rein.
At the end of days, when the few who may survive the planet’s demise, if any, are sitting in caves discussing the whys and wherefores of the whole pathetic human comedy, they will point to Goldstone’s report and agree it played a huge role in the demise of the Jewish people.
They will also agree that after the Jews were destroyed it was much easier to turn evil’s attentions to the rest of the world and wipe it out as well.
Unfortunately, it is the nature of good to believe in the ultimate victory of goodness over evil. That is why good men stand by and watch, as the world becomes a breeding ground for every evil intention man possesses.
Many say the United States is in Libya to battle evil. That is not the case at all. There are reasons far more egregious and hypocritical for our presence there.
If we were a country that battles for good, we would have fought to protect the babies in Rwanda, the ones being killed daily in Darfur and the innocent people of Iran slaughtered in the streets as they fought to end an evil dictatorship last summer. America would be outraged that today, an Israeli child was attacked by Hamas’ missiles.
We are a nation of hypocrites and have lost our way as well. That is why at the end of the day life is going south here. Our values are skewed, our leaders corrupt and worse, we have joined the world in its failure to combat Satan’s foothold. By ignoring the deaths of innocents, we too are guilty.
Judas’ repentance for his betrayal, return of the silver and even his suicide cannot change the effects of his wrong.
Goldstone’s retraction will not change what he has done to his own people.
Christ forgave Judas, I doubt it is possible to forgive Goldstone. At least not before the Second Coming.
A Rabbi once said, the greatest tool the devil has at his disposal was convincing man he had all the time in the world.
Even now, as we watch the world imploding through its own hatred, good men believe they have all the time in the world to battle evil. How tragically wrong they are.
