FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 21, 2011 “Troopathon” Organizers Will Respond to President Obama's Afghanistan Drawdown PlanLos Angeles, CA - Representatives from Move America Forward (www.MoveAmericaForward.org), the nation's largest pro-troop grassroots organization, will be available for comment prior to and following President Obama's White House speech on Wednesday evening.
Move America Forward has been one of the most outspoken voices defending American troops and their mission, working to focus public sentiment on the need to provide comfort & support to the men and women in uniform who serve and sacrifice.
With President Obama expected to announce a token withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan, the group is highly skeptical, fearing the move is entirely political rather than in the best interest of the soldiers or their mission.
Move America Forward representatives are available for comment in-person in the Orange County, CA area on Wednesday, or by phone at any time, and are especially prepared to make remarks on the areas of national security, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the global threat of terrorism, and of course our role in supporting our troops in all their operations to combat the threat of Al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations.
The group is making final preparations for their annual "Troopathon", an 8-hour live broadcast featuring top-tier celebrities and personalities that helps send care packages to soldiers stationed overseas. Confirmed guests include Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Dennis Miller, and many more.
Troopathon IV, titled "Remember Their Sacrifice", will be broadcast live from the Nixon Presidential Library on Thursday, from 1-9PM PST and can be seen at Troopathon.org.
