An angry mother stood before a judge Friday afternoon in a barebones courtroom at the Richland County jail, describing the fractured skull, busted nose and broken eye socket her son received during an early Monday morning beating in Five Points.
Vicki Strange’s voice never quivered as she described racing to the hospital in the wee hours to get to her 18-year-old son, Carter Strange. She recalled standing in the emergency room and seeing a man on a gurney being wheeled down the hall, thinking, “That poor man.”

Shouldn't that be either "a group of African-American teens beat up a European-American teen" or "a group of black teens beat up a white teen"? These PC-American reporters should use parallel terms.
“Muslim?” That has yet to be uncovered, most were juveniles, bail has been set at $750,000 for the 19 year old. Surprise, he already has a record. I am sure that the rest were good boys.

I mostly agree with that sentiment.
Another story about this told that the young man was trying to get home before midnight. He had called his mother at 12:01 and told her he was close and was just cutting thru the park(?) and would be home in a few minutes.
When he didn't show-up/contact her she tried to call him at 12:15...unable to connect. He was being attacked right when his mother was trying to call him.
She rushes to the hospital and sees him there. Pretty bad news.
