>HBO film Taking Chance<
Excellent portrayal by Kevin Bacon as a Marine who volunteered to take home a fallen comrade, who he did not know personally, back to him small hometown. I am still shaking my head how this got past the libs at HBO. Biggest audience by HBO in 5 years for an original movie yet they won’t do the same genre.
I was dating a Marine, and I was a brainwashed grad student, when I saw American Beauty. After the movie, he went off on it and told me all the things that were BS about it. He was really the first conservative voice I’d heard in.... a decade? He was also the one who introduced me to FR. I do wish I knew where he was now.
Of all the titles mentioned, I’ve heard of three and seen none.
I guess I gotta get out more.......
I quite liked this one. Russell Crowe was great as the CIA officer.
Hollywood? It sounds vaguely familiar. What ever happened to that place?
The best movies made now seem to be animated stuff that Pixar turns out.
I have seen only one of the movies mentioned in the article: American Beauty, and I'm not interested in seeing them.
However--
I loved American Beauty. It is an excellent movie.
