Chased home: Mob attacks man in his house

ABOUT 11 P.M. on Sept. 9, dozens of youths with bats and pipes descended on a tidy residential area of Port Richmond looking for white teens who allegedly had attacked an African-American kid at Stokely Playground a couple of hours earlier.

Two fearful white teens spotted Mark LaVelle on Indiana Avenue near Belgrade Street and asked for help. Suddenly, the mob appeared. LaVelle, who said that he didn't know the two kids, who looked to be 13 or 14, ran with them into his nearby house.

" 'We got you, you white mother-------!' " LaVelle said he heard someone yell in the "mob" of black and Hispanic youths.

...if the "black mobs attack white people" trend doesn't go away, it will be an electoral nightmare for the Dem's - they need the blue-collar white vote in Philadelphia if they will have any chance to carry PA.

When the economy tanks, best not to live in a disarmed nanny state.

If this guy would've had a shotgun, and the willingness to use it, he wouldn't have had to rely on police response to end his nightmare.

He's "lucky," yet is now living in fear of retaliation.

In a sane world, the neighborhood would band together in a show of force to inform the 'mob' that the results of the next attack would be final..

LaVelle said that the next day the mother of the juvenile came back with some other people, banging on his door, screaming. LaVelle, who was at a charity sports event, was called back to the house by one of his sons. When he got home, LaVelle said, the mother yelled at him, " 'You white mother------, you got my kid locked up! You got my son locked up because he's black, you're white!'

Astounding. This man was attacked inside his own home and this woman views her son, one of the attackers, as the victim. I wonder what the thug's father had to say on the matter?

And then some city councilor quotes the mother and says there MAY be a "racial element" to this chaos.

Here’s a companion article about a meeting with cops and neighborhood people. Cops basic concern is that the attacked people shouldn’t defend themselves, and one cop essentially calls these people racists.

Tensions Running High in Port Richmond in Wake of Recent Violence

It is astounding. The complete lack of personal responsibility, backed up and enabled by government decrees.

In many areas of the country, coming BACK to the scene of the crime and haranguing the homeowner would end poorly for the miscreants.

Apparently Philadelphia is not one of these places.

The best part of this story is on page 2, whereby the juvenile’s (age 17) mother comes to the house and says : “ you white mother-———!”

The apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree.

Also , this recent article fails to mention that the 32 year old perp with the gun was in prison.
The 27 year old perp who hit the victim with the pipe was in lock up.
The juvenile is the one who hit him in the eye.
The juvenile’s mother says that her son was a “witness” .. she fails to mention that there was a home invasion , and according to the vicitm , the juvenile hit him while in the victims house.

Obviously , the juvenile’s language and actions are a result of effective parent role-modeling . He was forced by the pressing crowd through the broken front door ,into the home while chasing 2 juveniles previously identifed as being approximately 12 - 13 years old.

Obviously, there will be no investigation by the justice Dept. since this was not a ‘hate crime’./s
