I was at home one day when a Sheriff Deputy came to my door. She had a dog in the car that someone thought belonged to my neighbor who was away from home. We drove to a park to find my kids who knew the dog better and after about a half hour determined that it was not the neighbors dog.

Fabulous story and I hope they either find the owner or find a new owner. Beautiful Shepherd! Kudos to the Miami-Dade officers!

According to the headline the car was rescued not the dog.

Now you’ve gone and done it - made me cry. I liked the part about the praying for the dog. How sweet!

My brother is a veterinarian in a not so good neighborhood. A policeman patrolling the area passed by about 3am and saw that someone had tied a dog to the light pole in front of his clinic. The police put the dog in the back seat of his patrol car until the clinic was open in the morning. Then he dropped it by. Nice!
