Nadler Slams Republicans for Voting to Allow Terrorists and Sex Offenders to Carry (NY barf alert)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), the top Democrat on the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, chastised his Republican Judiciary colleagues for voting to make it easier for terrorists and convicted sex offenders of children to carry concealed firearms. In a Judiciary Committee markup today, Republicans rejected Nadler’s two amendments to the GOP-sponsored H.R. 822, the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2011. Seventeen Republicans voted against Nadler’s first Amendment, which would prohibit convicted sex offenders of children from carrying concealed firearms in states which outlaw such conduct. Nineteen Republicans voted against Nadler’s second Amendment, which would prevent known or suspected terrorists from carrying concealed firearms across state lines.

“I am stunned that Republicans just voted in favor of allowing sex offenders and terrorists to carry concealed weapons,” said Nadler. “I knew they loved their guns, but I thought they cared even more about our children and the safety of the United States. It is hard to be outraged by the Republicans these days, but their ardent defense of terrorists and sex offenders really does shock the conscience.”

Congressman Nadler is a disgrace to New York. He shows his contempt for the Constitution with this stunt. This is a prime example of political pedophilia, where a politician attempts to use concern for children as a cover for some vile purpose, in this case to derail legislation that would put some meaning in the "bear arms" part of the Second Amendment.

His attempt to violate the Constitutional rights of anyone merely "accused" of terrorism is a direct assault on due process.

What an embarassment to New York.

We do love our guns and our country, however we are protecting BOTH along with our children from the likes of YOU as much as we are the terrorists and sex offenders.

Only if you are a Conservative, or a Christian, support the bill of rights, or the Constitution.

Give the guy some credit. He probably had a staffer write it and post it.
