'Cain Train' Running Out of Steam In US Republican Race? (MSM Liberal Narrative Alert)
The Vancouver Sun ^ | October 23, 2011 3:05 PM | By Sheldon Alberts, Postmedia News

Is this where the Cain fairy tale ends?

For all his unscripted authenticity and rough-edged conservative charm, Cain is withering under the scrutiny that attends presidential front-runners.

First, he has made unforced errors that suggest a surprising lack of discipline.

Discussing a plan to build a fence along the border with Mexico, Cain said the barrier “is going to be electrified, and there’s going to be a sign on the other side saying, ‘It will kill you.’ ” He subsequently apologized “if I offended anyone.”

Aiming at Wall Street protesters, Cain’s scattershot fire instead hit 14 million unemployed Americans.

“Don’t blame Wall Street. Don’t blame the big banks. If you don’t have a job and you’re not rich, blame yourself,” he said.

On foreign policy, Cain revels in his inexperience. He blithely says he doesn’t know — and doesn’t care — who “the president of Ubeki-beki-beki-beki-stan-stan” is.

“Knowing who is the head of some of these small insignificant states around the world — I don’t think that is something that is critical to focusing on national security and getting this economy going.”

He confessed to Meet the Press host David Gregory that he was “not familiar with the neo-conservative movement,” having apparently been asleep during the eight years of the Bush administration.

These are not the remarks of a serious presidential candidate.

But in a Republican primary where lack of experience in government is seen as a plus, neither are they necessarily life-threatening to his campaign.

But Cain’s biggest blunder has been on abortion.

Though he describes himself as “100 per cent pro-life,” Cain became confused when asked last week what that means.

Unless Perry rallies, or anti-Romney Republicans take another look at Michele Bachmann or Newt Gingrich, the former Godfather Pizza boss’s campaign still has an opportunity to flourish.

I see so despite surging in all the state polls this week, Nevada, Texas, South Carolina, Iowa, New Hampshire and Florida, the new media spin is “Cain is toast”.

Pure wishful thinking on the DC Establishment's part.

It will be interesting to see next week if the media narrative will affect the polls.

You are always nervous Kenny. Your problem is you let the Junk Media tell you what to think

Yes, this is the narrative. Strangely, most of these ‘errors’ happened before his polls rose. Only the abortion things happened recently, and he is clearly on the right side of that issue despite trying to take a 10th Amendment position with his less than coherent positioning this week.

Cain does need to continue to improve his campaign discipline to make it, but he’s gotten better and better with experience. He literally gets better by the week as a candidate. The sign of a smart and capable leader.

As a former “prisoner” of Vancouver BC, the Sun is one of the top 5 foreign anti-American newspapers around. Hands down.

MOST canadian newspapers are anti US. The sister paper called The province’ is far worse, so’s the local free rag The Straight.

Cain has something like a 12 point lead in Iowa, I doubt the sniping will even hurt him that much.

Though he describes himself as “100 per cent pro-life,” Cain became confused when asked last week what that means.

This is such a lie. A look at Cain's history on the pro-life issue shows he is totally pro-life. That he thinks a hypothetical member of his family who has a baby conceived in a rape should have the choice to raise the child or put it up for adoption does not make him pro-abortion. The left has really taken this one out of context. They won't give up on it either.

This is a piece from Canada.

One thing it demonstrates is that Canadian leftwingtards simply have no idea what the words mean.

well.. no one is going to turn to Romney (which the media doesn't get) and there is no one left, and besides we LIKE Cain, and affection will take you a long way in politics.
