Did you ever read Atlas Shrugged? This would not have been out of the ordinary for that story. Everyday people were abandoning their jobs as well, such as the train passengers left stranded. It was the first thing I thought of.

At least they didn’t get thrown under the bus.

He was not 14. He was 20 with a criminal record longer than your arm and wanted by the police. He stole the bus to keep from getting picked up by the cops and took others with him to Houston so he wouldn’t blow his cover.

Pasenger could not have started it. Greyhound builds in a special set of switches to allow pushbutton starter to engage. The driver needs to his certain dashboard buttons in a certain sequence to start the bus.

The reason is obvious to me. She was driving beyond the alloted hours specified by the law. She had no choice but stop the bus and turn it over to another driver.

Well we aren’t told where the driver went, but for all we know he/she/it called a bedfriend to come get him/her/it, or maybe even rented a car. She may have driven the bus to her hometown.

I can never find Sandra Bullock when I need her. Me either. But what has that to do with this situation?

The buzz here in Cape Girardeau is why the hell did the cops force the driver to get back on the bus and drive it when it was obvious there was a problem?
“Move that bus!”

Isn’t it funny that he’s the one that didn’t go to law school, yet he’s, by far, more successful than anyone in the history of that family?

The whole family has been blessed with tremendous analytical skills. Steel-trap minds and a gift of gab. Rush was fortunate to stumble onto the right path to use those skills in his own unique way. Don’t think he would lasted long as a lawyer!
