You are the subject of an all-powerful state.
So true; I regret that our little Republican primary voters can’t understand this important distinction. If so, they would repudiate most of their primary choices in 2012.
Certainly invites all manner of abuses if, in effect, the only doctor’s office is the state.
Anyone think the left would use their healthcare power to, say, give organ transplants to only Democrat voters?

I’ve read that individuals in countries with socialized medicine are reluctant to make public comments about the system for fear that their future medial care will be refused. There are provisions in Obamacare that allow for the government through its various agencies to blackball individuals by name without citing cause.
The takeover of medical care by robots is inevitable anyway, thanks to our legal system. Socializing medicine just speeds up the process.
Doctors may not realize this, but people who understand technology and the scaling laws of Moore and Metcalfe know otherwise.
Cass Sunstein thinks that health care should be rationed based on the patient’s “usefullness” to society.

Different groups with their own political agendas may have their own motives for supporting Obamacare, but the basic purpose of it is to lay the foundation for severing the link between employment and medical insurance -- thereby eliminating an enormous cost item from the expense ledgers of major U.S. employers. The "beauty" of it, from their perspective, is that it will eventually push all Americans into a government-run system where health care would be considered substandard (and maybe even criminal) by our current standards, and yet nobody would be able to do anything about it because "that's just the way the system works."
The sad truth is that most contemporary Americans could not care less about liberty and being freeborn citizens. After nearly 80 years of the welfare state their motto is “Ask not what you can do for your country but what your country can do for you.”
Yes the state will bring you into this world, if they choose and will put an end to you when you become to costly.
You were probably ridiculed because if you feel that way, you are wasting your time reading and posting about it if it is "game over".
Our doctor of 20 years dropped us this week-no longer accepting Medicare patients. We have four others in our area to chose from (maybe,unless they follow suite)If they won’t take us on as patients,we’ll have to drive into Houston to see a primary care doctor..Thank you Obamacare.
It won't reduce costs for employers. Health insurance along with 401K and other forms of compensation are ways for a company to "pay" an employee without having the employees tax burden climb. Without these "under the table" ways of increasing the compensation for employees, business will have to pay their employees more money. It's a game of three card monty. If you don't get compensation one way, you'll get it another.
