In many ways, Newt is the perfect man.
He knows how to buy good jewelry. He puts his wife ahead of his campaign. He’s so in touch with his feelings that he would rather close the entire federal government than keep his emotions bottled up. He’s confident enough to include a steamy sex scene in a novel. He understands that Paul Revere was warning about the British.
Mitt Romney is a phony with gobs of hair gel. Newt Gingrich is a phony with gobs of historical grandiosity.
The 68-year-old has compared himself to Charles de Gaulle. He has noted nonchalantly: “People like me are what stand between us and Auschwitz.” As speaker, he liked to tell reporters he was a World Historical Transformational Figure.

I am a computer tard but I just saw Newt on Hannitty and am too illiterate to post alink, but I am tired of this perpetuation of the “ wife in the hospital with cancer” The woman is still alive and she filed for divorce.
I dislike Newt because of his arrogance, but please have a rational, truthful reason!

I can only hope that the Newt bashers on Free Republic took their time to watch Gingrich being interviewed this evening on Hannity. At least before they make such ridiculous statements. I can tell you this, for the first time in three years, I felt a glimmer of hope and was inspired, actually had chills hearing what his immediate plans will be within hours of an inauguration. I felt like maybe American actually had a future again. Maybe, before being critical replay the interview, go to Fox News/Hannity.
No problem. The only pics on FR today have been Cain, Obama, or Newt. It was good-timing for a MODO thread to balance that out.

Please recall what happened in 1995. Newt and Company had a good run for a year and got much of their program passed. Then he lost interest in governing and let Clinton take the initiative away from him. Newt is great at running his mouth; not so great in following through.
