Well, Newt’s managed to get the GOP establishment into a panic at the thought of him being the nominee, so he can’t be all bad...
I believe if Ronald Reagan was one of the GOP candidates in this field, there would be MANY people on here ridiculing him and calling him all sorts of names.
Certainly isn't much of a choice, and I fail to see how Newt advancing on Romney in any state is a triumph for conservatives, at least in the long term. I see no viable path to the Presidency for Gingrich, and probably none for Romney, either. If someone can posit such a scenario, I'd like to hear it. I don't understand the glomming on to a high-handed, erratic candidate just for the sake of taking down another.
Each to his or her own, but it's a disastrous situation all the way around, if you ask me.
