A Portrait of the First Lady as an Angry Young Woman
American Thinker ^ | 01/13/2012 | By William Sullivan

Michelle Obama has recently taken issue with her critics for allegedly perpetuating the idea that she is an "angry black woman."  "That's an image people have tried to paint of me, since, you know, Barack announced, that I'm some angry black woman," she told CBS.

"Who can write about how I feel?" she went on. "Who? What third person can tell me how I feel, or anyone, for that matter?"

One does not have to take a leap of faith to believe Mrs. Obama to be an "angry black woman."  It is nothing more than a logical conclusion given the evidence she has provided.

"For the first time in my adult life, I'm proud of my country."

These are the words of Michelle Obama in 2008, said in response America's energetic reception of Barack Obama. And clearly, they are the words of an angry person.  A person who is so undeniably resentful of this nation that has provided her with a path to education and affluence that she can boast only having become proud of it when her husband was considered for the presidency and a fundamental change to its character was embraced.

This resentment stems, at least in part, from her early days of adulthood at Princeton.  While there, she produced a thesis that offers little more than derision for the prevalence of "white culture" in American academia and a lamentation that blacks who attend universities (particularly prestigious ones, like Princeton) come to identify more with the "White community" than the "Black community."  In a time in history when America sought to destroy once and for all the racial divisions lingering from our roots dating back to the European aristocracies, Michelle Obama harbored too much resentment and anger to commit to the abolition of these dividing lines.

Rush Limbaugh actually broached that subject recently.
The excesses you’re seeing are their way of getting personal racial reparations.

A theory on the royal lifestyle of the Obama’s:

I was clicking on various youtube videos of the First Lady to find the recent interview of her discussing the angry black woman image she has. One video began with her giving a speech.......and I quote...”me and Barrack were...blah blah blah.....yes, a very educated woman she is. Princeton grad.

She might’ve been an “angry young black woman” once but now she is simply a nasty, middle-aged beyotch.

I have a friend who is very high in Democratic circles in WA state.
She invited me to a luncheon that Michelle Obama was speaking at.
I was curious, and a free lunch to boot .
After the speech, people walked up to the stage. This was before Obama was elected, so no Secret Service protection yet.
I was 4 people back from the stage. However, I am part black. Everyone else around me was white.
Michelle leaned over 3 layers of people to shake my hand. She went way overboard out of her way to do this. I did not even have my hand up to shake her hand.
I looked around me, and knew the reason why.
I went home and told my husband that she was a racist. I firmly believed that after I saw her in action. This was before all the negative stories that were released about her.
Another side note- she wore a dress that had to cost big,big bucks. Designer for sure.I liked the dress. I do not like the woman wearing it.

My wife works at TGI Fridays and many Black women come in and act like they are Rosa Parks wannabees. They reject the first table offered (no back of the restaurant for them) then order an expensive dish and reject it on sight. Then after making life miserable for the waiter or waitress and causing a reasonless waste of food they finally eat, drink, pay their bill and leave a tip of zero.

Yup! I’ve seen it often. I’m sure wait staff hate to serve them.

This has been a “ha ha ha, in your face, whitey!” administration since day one. It didn’t have the desired effect - on Mrs. Obama nor on white America - and that’s the source of her rage.

Just heard the author interviewed on the radio. She is a Michelle apologist. She said Michelle is not angry, but has anxiety. The host said she mysteriously got admitted to Princeton, she had a high-paying job at a hospital that was never filled after she left for DC, and now she’s First Lady. No wonder she has “anxiety.” Props to Bruce Wolf.

Worked in the restaurant industry years ago. One place was a massive restaurant in a busy part of Boston.

The waitresses would dread groups of black women who came in for lunch or dinner. Every single time a group came in there was a problem - every single time: this drink is weak, this food is no good, our waitress served that table before us, our waitress gave me a look. etc, etc.

Then would come the demand to see the manager. The manager would kiss their asses, take things off their bill, but on occasion they would demand to see the owner or want to contact the owner. Forget the tip.

I have seen waitresses reduced to tears from these groups.

It seems to me that all anyone needs to know about the Wookie’s anger tendencies is conveyed in this image.

This, for me at least is the quintessential image that comes to my mind everytime her name is mentioned along with anger.

Michelle Obama sees Barack’s ‘wonderful progress’ in jeopardy

Posted 01/12/2012 02:28 PM ET

According to a new book, Michelle Obama is seeking to play a more active role on the policy side of her husband’s White House.

According to her recent schedule, she’s certainly playing a more active role in the fundraising part of her husband’s political life. Wednesday she was in Virginia and did two poilitical fundraisers, while her husband was in Chicago doing three political fundraisers.

We pay so much attention to what comes off those teleprompters into the president’s mouth, we thought we’d take a look at what his wife in saying at these financial collections. Scroll down for her complete remarks in Richmond.

According to Mrs. Obama, way too many Americans are still suffering economically. This isn’t because of anything her husband did or failed to do in the last 1,086 days that they’ve inhabited the White House. In fact, she maintains, things would have been much worse without the many changes her husband’s administration has implemented.

“Fortunately,” she says, “over the past three years, we’ve worked very hard to dig ourselves out of this mess. Your President has worked very hard. And there’s been a lot of wonderful progress made.”

Much of the progress is due to her husband, she says, whose initiatives like consumer protection save seniors from being tricked into hidden credit card fees or mortgages they can’t really afford....
