Ann is great, when she’s a conservative, but she’s just not really that conservative. What she is, is a controversial political author, who sells books by attacking the left. She’s good at it and there just isn’t anyone else doing that with humor and a whole lot of sarcasm. Her looks don’t hurt anything, either.
If you think about it, Ann has always written and talked more about the foibles of the left, than she has the strengths of conservatism.

Insightful, really. "The enemy of your enemy is, for the most part, supposed to be your friend." The crux of your problem is when your new friend turns their attention to your other friends. Ann's business is Ann. Somehow, her possibly-conservative upbringing (at least from what she's said), has been supplanted by glitz, notariety, collegiality with dubious people and/or a host of other foibles of the famous..... I think she needs to go back to seeing what she gets for a 40 hour paycheck instead of "appearance fees." Maybe that will recalibrate her.
