White House officials were in close contact with the Agriculture Department in the hours leading up to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack's decision to fire USDA employee Shirley Sherrod in 2010, according to nearly 2,000 pages of internal emails released by the administration.

Run ads about her firing in black voters areas of the country,
geeze, Dems play for keeps. Maybe the other side should start.

I agree. They keep harping on Breitbart "editing the video" when all he did was release the portion that made her out to be a racist loon. It was the Obama administration that panicked and fired her. Instead of having all the puppets in the media attack Breitbart, they should have paused a moment and told them to all research the whole pigford scandal. Wait, that might have shown democrat hypocrisy and pandering to 13% of our population over the overall welfare of the nation. hmmmmm.

And interestingly enough, the story indicates that the USDA knew about her redeeming comments, which would imply they were in the video the USDA saw. Their concern was that she “looked bad”. To the extent that her civil suit had any chance of success, that disclosure just blew it sky high.

Her beef is with the White House, not with Breitbart.

The White House had her fired and didn’t even wait to hear her side of the story. They didn’t even wait for her to get to work to fire her, they fired her right now.

I’d say she has a pretty good case against the president.

If Republicans wanted to beat Dems as much as Dems want to beat Republicans they would attack them from both directions.

Dems use Alinsky Tactics, they hold Republicans to their own standards for not living up to them all while attacking them for being extreme right wingers at the same time. Dems are out there protesting, boycotted, signing petitions, telling segments of voters that rights are being taken away.

Republicans just lose and act lik they don't know why,.

The one thing I admire about Dems is they believe it's important to win. to beat Republicans so they can pass their agenda). Sometimes I just think Republicans want to lose so they can say they were cheated.

“The White House had her fired and didn’t even wait to hear her side of the story.”

LOL No doubt, they read about it in the NYT and found the report to be disturbing. Not unlike Holder’s recent actions based on a newspaper article.

No, everyone harping on Breitbart missed the point. He wasn't trying to attack Sherrod. The point of his video was to show the reaction of the NAACP audience.

Listen to the video when she was explaining how she initially felt about the farmer in question. The audience is almost shouting their assent. They are AGREEING with her.

When she finally got to her "moment of truth" when she realized that she was was engaging in her own brand of racism, the audience went silent.

THAT is what the tape was about.

So, maybe Obama fired her because he realized she wasn’t a flaming racist anymore?
