DENVER –Colorado Congressman Mike Coffman is apologizing for comments he made at a fundraiser last weekend when he asserted that President Barack Obama is “just not an American.”
But the damage has been done.
Coffman, thought to be a safe bet to hold onto his seat this November, has given his underdog opponent, state Rep. Joe Miklosi, an opening by questioning President Barack Obama’s “American-ness” during a campaign speech last weekend.
“I don’t know whether Barack Obama was born in the United States of America. I don’t know that,” Coffman said at the event Saturday in Elbert County. “But I do know this, that in his heart, he’s not an American. He’s just not an American.”
Miklosi, D-Denver, has been on the attack since the comments, posted on YouTube by a Coffman supporter, first surfaced Wednesday night; and he’s spending much of Thursday making the rounds doing interviews and even scheduled to appear on national television Thursday night.

“I you wanted to destroy America, which of Obama’s policies would you repeal?”

These idiots don’t realize that if they would just stand by what they say, they would get the support from their base. The people they pi**ed off, by saying it in the first place, would not have voted or support them anyway. Why? Is that what all the focus groups show? Especially when more evidence is surfacing, why is it silly?
Sadly, Obama is one of us. He is a left wing American. They dislike their own country, its history, its people, its institutions. It’s not a big factor that he’s a black American. White leftists hate America in all the same ways.
In fact, if he were not a leftist, Obama might have gained a LOVE of America from his foreign dads. Many foreigners understand the greatness of this country better than an American liberal.
