This is what i read...

“Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney supports a two-state solution to solve the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, he told CNN during his visit to Jerusalem.”

But if there is a two-state solution there would be a divided Jerusalem...

and it wouldnt be the capital...

It could be that Willard just said what sounded good while he was in Israel...

After all he was there to collect tribute money..

IF he ever got the White House it wouldnt be long thereafter when his true policy towards the Jews was known...

The Palis would force his hand and Willard would back down...

In 2008 he said he wouldnt have any Moslems in his cabinet/administration because the Moslems were too small a % of population in the US...whatever that meant...

Well theres a whole lot more of them now...

Be interesting to see what he would do...

Purely for the entertainment value...

(I’ll also be counting the women and blacks but that a different story)

I believe in a two state solutions also. The first state created out of the Palestinian mandate (Trans-Jordan..now Jordan) and the current Israeli state composed of Israel proper and the West Bank. Gaza can hang out as a Hamas island all it wants, until it is reabsorbed by Egypt.

“Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney supports a two-state solution to solve the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, he told CNN during his visit to Jerusalem.”

But if there is a two-state solution there would be a divided Jerusalem...  Romney didn't say this.  This is what the Palestinian leader said.  Romney didn't buy into it.  He stated that Jerusalem was the capital of Israel, and didn't deviate or expand on that.  He said it twice while he was over there.

and it wouldnt be the capital...  He didn't say this either.

It could be that Willard just said what sounded good while he was in Israel...  Yes, that could be.  We have no evidence of that yet, but I've adopted that theory on a number of his statements.  We'll see if this is one of those times.  It may be.  We can't say for sure though.

After all he was there to collect tribute money...  Perhaps.  It's my take he's trying to embellish his international stature.  It was a wise move to do this.

IF he ever got the White House it wouldn't be long thereafter when his true policy towards the Jews was known...  You do mean Israel don't you?

The Palis would force his hand and Willard would back down...  Look, we can make all sorts of assumptions.  Some of them may be very accurate.  We don't know until it happens.  It may happen.  It may not.  Frankly, I like what he's had to say so far with regard to Israel.  If the guy goes over there and says something wrong, we trash him.  If he goes over there and says the right things, we trash him too.  Look, I'm not voting for the guy.  I've made my mind up and that's it.  That doesn't prevent me from listening to him and giving him kudos if he's saying the right things.

In 2008 he said he wouldn't have any Moslems in his cabinet/administration because the Moslems were too small a % of population in the US...whatever that meant...  Yeah, that's kind of a strange way to address it, based on percentages.  It's the right move IMO, but man up and explain why.

Well theres a whole lot more of them now...  Yes there are.  And I'm not inclined to think there should be a one in the White House.  Sorry, but we're essentially on a war footing with those folks.  It's too big a chance to take.

Be interesting to see what he would do...  Yes it will.

Purely for the entertainment value...  Well, I'd go beyond that and state it would interesting based on national security concerns.

(I’ll also be counting the women and blacks but that a different story)
Aw come on, don't you think we need another Maggie Williams in there.  /s

Thanks for the additional comments.  Take care.

A two-state solution is the only solution available if Israel wishes to remain a Jewish and democratic state. In the not-too-distant future, the demographics within Israel are going to be such that the Muslim population will be able to elect Muslims to the Knesset and local political bodies. Once that happens in sufficient numbers, a Jewish Israel becomes practically impossible unless the government wishes to deprive the Palis of critical human rights. It's the same reason that the U.S. will eventually have to cede the Southwest to Mexico (and I say that only half jokingly).
