But, unlike the Dipsy Sluts, his audience still loves him.

Geico's icon is a gecko with an English accent which means it is most likely Australian.

Australia is the continent where men are men and the sheep get nervous.

It is comes as no surprise that Geico would fire Ermy who was UNITED STATES MARINE where men are men and wherever the Marines be stationed from the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli the sheep have no reason to be nervous.

“But R. Lee showed he’s capable of backin the Prez when it’s called for ... calling Megadeath frontman Dave Mustain’s theory that Obama staged the shootings in Aurora “ridiculous.”

The old guy is getting soft.

GEICO = Government Employees Insurance Company. Owned by Berkshire Hathaway - aka Warren Buffett.

I and other motorists have hated GEICO for a long time, even before Obama. It’s not even a political thing, believe it or not. It’s because GEICO thinks it is funny to hand out free radar guns to the police and ‘request’ that the police run more speed enforcement exercises instead of pursuing actual serious criminals.

Uncle Buffy understands the Sheeple and it has made him almost as much money as the Gubmint bailouts made him.

GEICO has great commercials. The Caveman commercials were better entertainment than than whatever programming trash that they sponsored.

I have had State Farm Auto for over forty years. I do a price check every once in awhile I have not been able to get a lower price.

Thanks for the tip. My insurance comes due in three or four months and I will give USAA a look-see.

I think you would have to be military/former military to be able to use USAA.

That eliminates me. Athletic knee injuries disqualified me from ever serving in the military.

If you had a parent who served, then you qualify through their service.

I meant to say that my father was deceased not diseased. I am getting old and I type too quickly by sound and I do not carefully read what I have typed.

I was on a flight from LA to Orlando a while back. Lee was on the flight. He is one of the good guys.
GEICO can kiss my Grits.

Well, I do not know, but I started with Geico when I had my first car almost 50 years ago.
Their rates were very fair.
I had a number of claims. None of them were my fault.
They were either act of nature claims or claims when someone else was using my car.
They were always prompt in payment, and never a rate increase due to a claim.
I was quite satisfied with GEICO, but as I said, this was over 10 years ago.
I have heard nightmare stories about other national carriers, especially Allstate.

That’s very funny - I have not heard of GEICO here in Australia though. Sheep are only nervous at first - it’s the gum boots that scare them!

"Ever wonder why R. Lee Ermey only did one hysterical commericla for Geico? The "Full Metal Jacket" star says the insurance giant gave him a pink slip because of his political beliefs. Ermey famously bashed President Barack Obama in December 2010, saying his administration was trying to "impose socialism" on the American people and was "destroying the country."He apologized at the time for those comments, but the other day he told our photog that Geico fired him over the incident."

Ummmmmm -- I'm pretty sure I've seen his GEICO commercial more than once since December 2010. (For his marketing purposes, bashing Obama is no doubt a resume enhancer.)
