'Full Metal Jacket' Star Says He Was Fired By GEICO for Bashing Obama

R. Lee Ermey, the actor best known for his role as the drill sergeant in Stanley Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket," claims he was fired by GEICO for bashing President Obama.
During an impromptu interview with TMZ, Ermey also said, "If you’re a conservative in this town, you better watch out" (videos follow with transcribed highlights and commentary):

It seems most are tired of seeing him lie on t.v. everyday and the media saying “it is o.k. because we picked him for you.” The media now has no credibility left and the companies who support this nonsense are doomed to failure.

You are correct..it's warren Buffet that owns Geico..but they have been raising my rates lately so I switched USAA.
I am an excellent driver..have been for years but it has made no difference. Glad I switched now that know about the politics of the company.

You obviously never met SGT Donald King nor SSG Freuhauf.I had the misfortune to have met both of them at Ft Knox,KY in 1969.I assure you that neither of them ever offered their shoulder to any recruits that *I* know of nor did they ever acknowledge the validity of any "stress card".And I'll wager that neither of them could even *spell* the word "mentor".
