Nutjob Conspiracy Ping List
Trees are dangerous!
Since the Federal FY ends on Sept 30th, this looks like buying to expend funds before end of FY.
On a more “Conspiritorial” note, the federal buy up of ammo could be to deplete the supply and drive up prices.
Think of a few years ago when most cpacity was diverted to military uses.
Just a thought
considering the park rangers have to deal with bears, cougars and drug farmers... i can almost see the need for ammo.
why weather people need 50-60k rounds is still beyond me
If Bigfoot heads south they’ll be ready!
Foresters happening upon the marijuana fields and being shot at?
Because 60k-70k won't fit in their trunk? (variation on an old joke)
You've obviously never been charged by an angry spawning salmon. < /sarc>
Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping!
To get onto The Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping List you must threaten to report me to the Mods if I dont add you to the list...
On another note, depending on the size of the armed personnel of the agency, the number of rounds may not be so out of line.
Let’s say 100 rounds per year per officer for qualification and and additional 2-300 per year for training. These numbers are fairly standard. That makes around 400 per officer per year.
There are freepers that say they shoot that much in a day.
At that number 272,000 rounds comes to a 400 rounds per officer allocation for 680 people. Really not so out of line.
Within 30 days?
Is this for real?
They must be expecting an attack of rabid beavers.
Any way to search and find out if similar purchases have been made over the years?
Or they could require 680 officers to buy their own ammo or look for work in the dreaded private sector if they don’t like it.
That sounds like exactly the way to put this in perspective. If there actually were to be something afoot that demands a proper explanation- it'd be plain to see.
Probably an end of Fiscal Year buy-they need to expend the funds before Sept 30
If were going to create some kind of national police force as big, powerful and well-funded as our combined U.S. military forces, isnt this rather a big deal? Shouldn't some one be questioning the motives? Shouldn't someone at least be questioning all these new arms orders for people who don't necessarily need them?
If everything is immediately pushed off as a conspiracy theory without question, the truth would never be revealed until it's too late to do anything to stop it.
Question everything. That way, nothing goes unanswered.
The latest hi-cap shooters let you waste ammo at astounding rates.
That, and didnt 8 people in New Yawk get shot by the cops that were rescuing them just the other day.
Friggen’ lead flying around all over the place!
