“Full Metal Jacket” star and Geico's “Therapist Sarge” R. Lee Ermey said the insurance giant fired him from his commercial spot for speaking out against President Barack Obama, according to a report from TMZ.

Ermey played a former drill sergeant in the commercial, where he called a weeping man a “jackwagon” before throwing a box of tissues at the man in a hilarious and popular commercial for Geico.

If anyone is using GEICO this would be a perfect reason to either drop or boycott them

Another insurance company showing their political stripes, and alienating a large segment of their market base.

Just crossed them off the list...

Now I know why Geico hasn’t hired ME as a spokesman: I’ve called that nincompoop in the Oval Office every colorful word I can think of, from jackwagon and incompetent to ****** and **** **** and a ******.

Who would buy insurance from a company that has a gecko for their spokeslizard, makes their CEO look like a moron, and has no shame?..............

Anyone who does business with either GEICO or PROGRESSIVE needs to have a brain MRI!

And then what?

Let's not use the "b" word. That's a distraction manufactured and poisoned by the radicals.
Let's just say "alternate solutions," to our insurance needs.
But where? Nationwide has created their own deep hole which disgusted millions.

Start Farm Insurance has been professional with me for decades, but I've never been high risk and, like all prfessionals, their sales pitch is not that they will "save you hundreds," but service will be there when you need it. No mickey-mouse weaseling and leaving you high and dry.

No surprise. I’ve heard from two different media pros that their marketing director, Linda Thompson, is a nasty, condescending piece of work; symptom of a liberal organization.

Indeed they should. When I bought my car in 2006 I shopped around for Insurance and Geico was one of them. What they quoted me was over $1000 per six month even though I had been over 65, and they claim they are lower then anyone else

I too use state farm... they have never let me down and have always honored their commitments. They are a little more expensive sure enough but I would rather pay the few extra dollars than worry about coverage.

I liked the caveman. They should update it and say “So easy Biden can do it!”

Every insurance commercial appears to sell the idea they’re managed by complete idiots and only idiots need apply for policies... Either stupid ducks, progressive Marxists all dressed the same in white, idiotic talking Australian lizards, people being ‘channeled’ to talk like an agent or nimrods falling off roofs, I want nothing to do with clowns managing my insurance portfolio.

Government Employee Insurance Company??!!??

They didn't just shoot themselves in the foot, the blasted it clean off...

I see another business death spiral and eventual name change.

Stupid doesn't begin to describe it. Cute lizard or not.
