A local radio host volunteered at the cafeteria of his daughter’s school. Chris talked about working the salad bar. Repeatedly kids would walk up and ask for just the grated cheese.
My daughter feeds her children what they will eat. She encourages them to eat certain items but she is not a food nazi.

I read an article the other day that talked about schools serving hummus and black bean salad. What? I wouldn’t eat that crap and personally don’t know one kid that would touch it.

A few months ago, we were continuously getting advertising on the radio telling what proper sized food servings were. Chicken: about the size of a deck of cards. Mashed potatoes: about the size of a computer mouse. I thought the one-size-fits all announcements were stupid and haven't heard them lately. Anybody else?
This was on the Clear Channel station, SW Pennsylvania market.
