Our Associate Paster is a chaplain in the Reserves. He said that he has been ordered not to pray in the name of Jesus, because he might offend someone.

Pretty sad.

The ‘Progressives’ simply want to rewrite the Bible. It does not reflect their values.
What is religion without doctrine?

Was this the Navy Reserve? If so, unfortunately, there are precedents.

If it was the Army Reserve or Air Force Reserve, this needs to be widely publicized and attacked.

Distinctions can be critical, however. There is a big difference between an order not to pray in Jesus’ name and a caution that it may not be a good idea in a mixed audience to do so. Make sure the facts are clear first.
