I guess if Ailes were a liberal he could have found a secure niche at CBS or NBC. But that might not have made him a national celebrity. Liberal Ailes wouldn't have had to create anything new on his own. He could have just relied on the existing network. Nowadays media people have to hustle in a way that they didn't back when there were only three networks.

We need a new stronger conservative TV network. Fox is too much geared to pleasing their liberal-progressive viewership and aiding in the decline of moral values. Imo.
