DON'T TRASH REAGAN TO SAVE ROMNEY
Brietbart ^ | Monday November 26, 2012 | By JENNY BETH MARTIN

Ann Coulter, a long-time cheerleader for Mitt Romney, recently trashed the legacy of Ronald Reagan – and Americans who honor the legacy of Ronald Reagan – in a desperate attempt to deflect blame for Romney’s loss away from the candidate, and away from those who backed him.

Movement conservatives, Reagan conservatives, and tea partiers did not back Gov. Romney in the Republican primaries. Despite misgivings, when the GOP establishment chose Romney, these patriotic conservatives did not sulk or stay home. They walked through fire for Romney and formed the backbone of his base and ground game. They gave their all to their country, they volunteered their time, they donated what they could to a candidate they did not choose, and they voted for him. Why? Because they put the future of the country ahead of their own personal interests.

Which is something Ann Coulter may want to try. What did these millions of Reagan conservatives and tea party conservatives get in return for their time, dedication, and votes? They got shut out and ignored at the GOP convention (the words “tea party” were never mentioned), and now they’re getting blamed for Romney’s loss by his #1 cheerleader, Ann, whose latest screed “ROMNEY WAS NOT THE PROBLEM” also slammed the legacy of Ronald Reagan.

This is ironic, because Ann’s candidate rarely missed an opportunity to wrap himself in Ronald Reagan’s legacy for his own benefit.

Reagan won twice. Romney is a two time loser. No comparison at all.

People should not trash Reagan and people should quit trashing Romney. Romney is irrelevant now. He’s just a guy with a beach house. Leave him alone.

Ann Coulter talks and writes like a conservative but she falls in love with liberals.

Never heard the word tea party. Never saw Sarah Palin. Never saw an ad or mention about the dems booing God at the convention. Never saw an ad or mention of Obama denying aid to babies that survive abortion or his support for homosexual marriage (which even liberal California and Maryland are nearly 50% opposed to)

But the reason he lost was because he was too conservative and needed to moderate his message....LOL

Expecting voters to know what’s going on and their reliance on MSM is just part of why our great loss. While there are examples of fraud which may close up the gap, the gap is too big to blame the loss on fraud ...Expecting GOP E’s to address media bias or Romney to call Obama a congenital liar or even point out that the fact and figures released by the white house were allways questionable is another Let alone call him a “socialist”..

But the fault lies really in the messaging the Republican campaign came up with choking on political correctness parameters or triping over past positions on global warming and Romneycare both of which were bread and butter issues. .Then busy responding to pseudo positions devised by the demo-com party and echoed by their hand maiden camp followers in the media allowing them to set the agenda ..

Romney ran a “Johnny One Note Campaign”. Used a poison dart blow gun when he should have used a cannon loaded with grape shot because he had pleanty of stuff he could fill that cannon barrel with..

They failed to hammer away on what will happen when Obama gets returned; The Obama past due 2013/14 Tax Increases. The impact of Obama’s gagging energy.resources.(a socialist construct never branded as such) with policies requiring reliance on intermittent sources wind and solar and that resulted in massive corruption .,restricted use of drilling, and coal ,bans and on fracking, and resulting prices doubling on everything.. This was a bread and butter issue which reached into every “demographics” pocketbook including accepting the demo-com definition of hyphenated African-Hispanic -Americans .

Then there os the impact of Supreme Court Appointments.. 18,000 new IRS agents and on and on. . Some were very briefly touched most weren’t and Benghazi/ foreign policy was left to languish. Then there is Obama’s personal extravagance and behavior refusing to visit Nashville after its disaster showing up at New Orleans after Mitt visited it. Even after the Christi thing if that was brought up it would have blunted the impact.

Instead we got a sales pitch on executive ability but not the reason why one should toss the old model and buy his. That print and tv pitch , 20 million new jobs, was given a discrarded dose of skepticism .

In addition Rove who I understand was handling the Charter PAC senate campaign played games. His material never warned voters that IF OBAMA GETS RE-ELECTED AND SENATE CONTROL REMAINED . .. OBAMACARE AND ALL THE TAX INCREASES THAT GO WITH IT WILL NEVER GET REPEALED Let alone tie into or cover the formentioned grape shot which would have perhaps changed that body. I don’t recall any of that material directed toward that fact.

Finally they didn’t believe the polls which turned out were dead on. Even going as far as setting up focus groups which could have looked into what’s going on . Even to the point of going out to local eateries and bars and eavesdrop into conversations and pick up on topics being discussed.(chat rooms twitter too contrived) They would have learned their turnout projections were off and the sence of urgency to get out the vote was diminished by their glowing projections and disbelief never mind ORCA which should have been tested. COMPLACENCY WAS ENCOURAGED BY THE MEDIA AND NOT COUNTER ACTED UPON

Our local small population (-8000) rural blue county GOP had at the outset good and growing attendence at their meetings 50 plus. At the meeting the Thursday before the election only about a dozen people showed up and I knew we were in trouble .

Nuts...This loss is inexcuseable, while I trully don’t believe Mitt Romney would ever continence losing, I’m begining to believe that most GOPE’s really didn’t want to see AHCA, (affordable health care act) otherwise known as ZerO care go.

Ann, why don’t you join Nancy and go home and practice your meatballs...that’s about all you’re good for anymore.

We prefer to spend our time and considerations with the likes of Sarah Palin and Michelle Malkin.

Ditto. Methinks she doth protest too much. As far as I can tell, all she wants now is face-time and sell books. She is fallen in my eyes.

You're right, it's not new. What is it about conservatives that they find the need to trash their own when it never happens within the Democrat party?

Perhaps there's a lesson to be learned there..........but it won't.

“He’s just a guy with a beach house”

Well, it’s like Carla Bruni says, “A woman belongs in one of her houses.”

Steyn said today that it costs 1.4 billion to transport and fly and feed and attend to the needs of Moochelle and hubby. The Queen and all the royalty of England somehow manage on $56 million a year.

The Obummers spend more of our money than all the royalty of Europe.

It is time to criticize Obama. The time for criticizing Romney has passed. It's time to leave him alone now.

Ann, whose latest screed “ROMNEY WAS NOT THE PROBLEM” also slammed the legacy of Ronald Reagan.

There were a lot of factors but if I had to pick one single factor that affected the outcome more than any other it would be Romney's image. I thought Romney did better than I expected of such a RINO but he couldn't get rid of the slick rich used car salesman image. Ann, yes, Romney was the problem and I am not sure there is anything he could have done to change his image.

I believe Romney is done with politics. Of course, in 2016, he will probably play as large a role in the GOP convention as McCain did in 2012, but like I said, he is done with politics.

Romney lost because the Dems have mastered the ground game and turnout effort. People that used to stay home now turn out for the guy who the Dem machine “suggests”. Simple as that.

Hope you don’t think I was criticizing the Romneys. I don’t care how many houses they have. They paid for them with their own money. I never even mentioned the Romneys by name in my post.

The Marxist and Moochelle just mooch off of us.
