I’ll go along with it when NYC, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Cleveland are safe to walk the streets anytime day or night. Let these blowhards clean up their own cities first.

Actually, NYC is very safe nowadays. It doesn't make the top ten, nor even the top thirty in either property crimes or violent crimes.
The other places you mentioned are armpit cities.
