So by the same token lets call Ford, Chrysler ect enablers.

Lets call Budweiser, Jim Beam enablers.

Let’s call ALL knife makers enablers...

My weapons are fully loaded, and not ONE of them left my house today and killed anyone.

It’s not the Gun, it’s the Evil people.

The more posts I see about liberals demanding all sorts of bans and confiscation, the more convinced I am that this was a staged or at least provoked act. They do know well how to find and motivate dupes to do their bidding.

The leftists have been slavering for a high profile massacre for decades to push their confiscation dream into reality.

Molon Labe, you liberals.

Thank goodness the Republicans control the House.

I'm afraid this won't be enough. I have a bad feeling this event will galvanize support for gun control and at the very least, we can expect a line-for-line resurrection of the Clinton-era AWB right around the corner. Obama will cut a deal with House Republicans to push it through. Obama currently enjoys political capital that Clinton didn't have in '94. He doesn't have to worry about re-election and nobody's afraid of the "Angry White Male" like they were two decades ago. The minority and female voters who sent Obama back to the White House will support him on this.

Twenty dead kindergartners a week before Christmas changes things. Every soccer mom in America is going to be howling for Obama to do something.

Folks who support the 2nd Amendment need to come up with solid proposals to keep guns out of the hands of the crazies.

Now there's an idea! Why didn't we think of that? While we're at it, let's keep cars out of the hands of drunk drivers.

How could we do that? Well, let's start by passing laws that prohibit children, criminals and the mentally ill from owning weapons - and let's prohibit drunk driving. Yeh, that should be a good start.

Oh, wait a minute, we already have such laws, as does Mexico.

The Mexican Constitution guarantees the right of Mexicans to possess arms. Even so, gun control laws in Mexico are very strict, and police discretion in enforcement makes possession of firearms of greater than .22 very difficult and risky for normal citizens. As you can read in the papers everyday, strict guns laws in Mexico sure have solved the crime and murder problem there!

Here's an idea: School teachers in Israel are allowed to carry weapons and there hasn't been a school shooting there in decades. p But, I doubt your desire to do away with the 2nd Amendment is swayed by facts. For the record, what other parts of the Constitution would you like to change?

Twice as many people are killed by autommobiles every year as opposed to those killed by Guns. AAA are enablers of Mass Murder!

And those dirty car manufacturers should be sued, their products are inherently dangerous!

Soon we will need an amendment securing our right to drive an automobile!

Good ol' Freeper Pessimism. I expect no the AWB will not be restored. No way would it pass the House.

I agree with you.

Unfortunately, after today we are in a shrinking minority of Americans.

We can yell and scream about guns don't kill people... or folks supporting the constitution can frame the debate about how to keep crazies from killing 5 year olds with guns.

As of today digging in and doing and saying the same old same old is not going to work ...

Maybe. Maybe not. But I don't believe, particularly after this last election that the NRA will be as feared as it once was. And you know the media is going to play this up for all it's worth. When America is treated to scenes of grieving parents, unopened Christmas presents and little kid-sized coffins, the NRA isn't going to have a pot to piss in.

The enablers are the people who designate schools, malls, etc. as “gun-free” zones. To a wacked out individual, that means a free-fire zone, a place where any and all bodies are simply targets such as in their favorite video game. The only way it could be worse would be if everyone wore a number around their neck designating scores!

nadler was elected by the majority of the voters in his district. He represents them for a reason, that reason being they think the way he does. The problem isn't nads, but New Yorkers. Anyone who loves freedom and doesn't despise New Yorkers is suffering from a reality disconnect

“Good ol’ Freeper Pessimism.”

No its the good old Freeper echo chamber...

Remember how Romney, McCain were going to win by a landslide, how the Supreme Court was going to strike down Obamacare, the birther issue was going to bring down O, how Deep Water Horizon had opened up cracks in the sea bed...

IMHO too many people calling themselves conservatives simply refuse to look at the way the world is....they react they dont create new arguments..
