David Gregory mocked the NRA's Wayne LaPierre for proposing that armed guards be at every school in America. But the NBC host seems to have no problem with armed guards protecting his kids everyday where they attend school in Washington, D.C.

"You proposed armed guards in school. We'll talk about that in some detail in a moment. You confronted the news media. You blamed Hollywood and the gaming industry. But never once did you concede that guns could actually be part of the problem. Is that a meaningful contribution, Mr. LaPierre, or a dodge?," asked Gregory.

Later the host suggested that guns don't prevent violence in schools (he cited the mass shootings at Columbine and Virginia Tech). "But you would concede that, as good as an idea as you think this is, it may not work. Because there have been cases where armed guards have not prevented this kind of massacre, this kind of carnage. I want you would concede that point, wouldn't you?," Gregory pleaded.

The NBC host would go on the rest of the segment to suggest that armed guards might not be effective in preventing mass murders at school. Which is perhaps an interesting theoretical argument.

But when it comes to Gregory's own kids, however, they are secured every school day by armed guards.

As posted on the other thread, media hacks such as those among the alphabet networks today display a gross lack of understanding of the ideas of liberty, the ideas of tyranny, and the interconnection of the provisions of the Bill of Rights to our Constitution's other protections, such as the Second Amendment.

Allegiance to an ideology and to the current spokesman for that ideology, not fidelity to their nation's Constitutional protections for individual rights, seems to motivate their shallow rhetoric.

"Although all men are born free, slavery has been the general lot of the human race. Ignorant--they have been cheated; asleep--they have been surprised; divided--the yoke has been forced upon them. But what is the lesson?...the people ought to be enlightened, to be awakened, to be united, that after establishing a government they should watch over it....It is universally admitted that a well-instructed people alone can be permanently free." - James Madison

Gregory, and the legions of other so-called pundits and talking heads clearly have not been "well-instructed" or "enlightened" to the great principles underlying their freedom. After all, they are the products of the so-called "progressive" movement to remove the Founders' ideas from the nation's textbooks and public discourse. What a shame!

“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? / Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.” - Bible quotes

When will minorities come to realize how they are being played. For three generations they have been herded into failing, violent union controlled government schools where they remain uneducated and politically docile.Of course urban liberal elites like Obama, Gregory,Rahm Emmanuel, Pelosi and the Kennedy family “choose” good private schools for themselves. The liberals also situate the abortion clinics in minority neighborhoods.

Same old liberal hypocrisy: Armed guards and private schools for their children and failed, unguarded public schools for everyone else.

Isn't it quite telling to many of us how people such as Gregory in the media, politicians and these new age Hollywood types like Jen anniston; demand gun control while their homes and lives are being totally protected by armed security. Explain that, Gregory.

Harumph! Don’t people know who Gregory is? It should be obvious that his children are more valuable than other people’s children. Now get back to your hovels and eat your gruel, worthless peasants.

If one accepts the premise that for modern leftists abortion is disguised eugenics (which I do), then examine the statistics on abortion as relates to minorities, particularly blacks, one can only wonder how ignorant and plain stupid said minorities must be to buy into it so completely.

The idea of guards sounds good—maybe arm the staff in the offices—it would be worth it to save one child from a nut—armed with a gun, bomb, knife or anything else.

That has always been the liberals motto, just like the leaders in a communist country, live the sheltered entitled life while exhorting the masses to do without and conform.

Obama could always lead by example and disarm the Secret Service. If the President can survive without the need for firearms to protect him, why should anyone else need firearms? (sarc)
